Its new hand-wound DUW 4601 adds a quick-set date and up to 52 hours of stated power reserve. This is a first look at NOMOS’s specifications and launch material, not a hands-on or timing review.
How the Tangente 2date display works
The two displays serve different purposes. The date ring runs around the dial’s perimeter and marks the day in the month, giving an overview of the calendar. The large aperture at 6 o’clock shows the current date in Tangente typography. NOMOS describes the combination as a view of the month alongside a prominent reading of today’s date.

The ring-date layout had appeared in the Update versions of the Tangente neomatik and Metro neomatik, according to NOMOS. The company says DUW 4601 brings this form to a hand-wound watch for the first time. The arrangement may appeal if you want the month visible at a glance; whether the extra scale feels informative or makes the dial too busy is a matter of preference, and the published materials do not establish how wearers find it in practice.
DUW 4601: what NOMOS specifies
NOMOS identifies DUW 4601 as an in-house, manually wound caliber with a quick-set date. Its listed dimensions are 34.6 mm in diameter (15⅓ lignes) and 2.8 mm high. The stated power reserve is up to 52 hours. NOMOS’s October 1, 2024 forum release called it the company’s “twelfth proprietary caliber.”

These are manufacturer specifications and descriptions. They identify the caliber’s features, but do not by themselves establish accuracy or performance in wear; no independent timing results are available here.
Case, dial and the two variants
The product page identifies a 37.5 mm case diameter and offers two dial finishes: silver-plated white, references 135/135.SB, and galvanized blue, references 136/136.SB. NOMOS’s blue-model data sheet, marked as current in October 2024, specifies a stainless-steel case, 6.8 mm thickness, sapphire case back, anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the front and back, 19 mm lug width, and a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap.

That case-sheet detail is for the blue reference; it should not automatically be assumed to describe every specification of the white model. The sheet also says technical changes may be made.
Water resistance: read the label literally
The blue model’s sheet lists 5 atm water resistance and describes the watch as “splash-proof.” That is the manufacturer’s stated use label; it is not a basis for presenting the watch as suitable for swimming.

When accessed on October 8, 2026, NOMOS’s localized Philippines product page displayed prices in USD: the white model from USD 2,820 and the blue from USD 2,910. The page also showed monthly figures of USD 235 and USD 242.50, respectively. These are page-displayed figures at access, not confirmed launch prices; local prices and availability may differ and should be checked with NOMOS for the buyer’s market.

What the first look suggests
The proposition is unusually clear: a restrained Tangente case and two dial colors frame a display designed to show both the current date and its place in the month. The trade-off is similarly clear. Some buyers may value that broader calendar view; others may prefer a simpler dial. The available manufacturer material establishes the design and specifications, not a verdict on legibility, comfort, accuracy, or everyday usability.

NOMOS’s November 5, 2024 press material sums up its intent: “The date ring, positioned around the edge of the dial, offers a view of the entire month at a glance, while the extra-large date window at 6 o’clock uses the iconic Tangente typography.” That is the maker’s description of the design, rather than an independent assessment.
