Rado lists two versions: white high-tech ceramic reference R27073722 and plasma high-tech ceramic reference R27083722. The official listings describe their shared specifications and market-specific prices; they do not establish a launch date or independent wear and performance results.
What stands out on the dial
The watch’s cut-away dial exposes part of Rado’s automatic calibre R734, while the transparent sapphire case back offers another view of the movement. Rado says the dial’s glittering finish resembles diamond powder and is produced through electro-forming, or galvanic growth. In the manufacturer’s words, “A unique electro-forming process produces the dial’s diamond-powder like glitter and permits the Rado logo, markings and minute tracks to be raised in sharp relief from the base of the dial, the end result of galvanic growth.” (Rado’s R27073722 product page.)
Both models have 12 diamond indexes, with a stated total weight of 0.096 carat. The open-heart treatment and sparkling surface make the dial the main visual feature; Rado describes the cut-away as an invitation to look closely at the R734.
R27073722 vs. R27083722
The clearest difference in Rado’s listings is the ceramic finish: R27073722 is white high-tech ceramic, while R27083722 is plasma high-tech ceramic. The listed dimensions, movement, reserve and diamond indexes match.

Movement and stated performance
Rado specifies calibre R734, a Nivachron anti-magnetic hairspring and an 80-hour power reserve for both references. The reserve is the manufacturer’s listed figure; the product pages do not provide independent test results or a measured accuracy rating. Although Rado says the movement was tested in five positions, it does not publish results there, so that statement alone does not establish an accuracy figure or a quantified level of magnetic resistance.

At the time the pages were accessed on October 8, 2026, Rado’s US listings showed $3,600 for each reference. Rado’s international page for R27073722 listed CHF 3,050 including VAT.
