The Maurice Lacroix AIKONIC Master Triple Retrograde combines three curved, returning displays for home time, weekday and date, with a separate small-seconds aperture. Announced on 20 November 2025, reference AC6068-SSL20-230-2 puts that display arrangement in a 43 mm stainless-steel case with a ceramic bezel. Its appeal is the motion and layered dial; its trade-offs are a visually busy face and substantial case dimensions.
What the triple retrograde display shows
“Retrograde” describes a hand that travels along an arc, then snaps back to its starting point when it reaches the end of its scale. On this watch, the three retrograde indications are arranged across the dial as follows:
- Home time (GMT): a second time-zone indication.
- Weekday: the day of the week.
- Date: the calendar date.
A fourth aperture at 9 o’clock displays small seconds; it is not a fourth retrograde indication. The arrangement is more useful than three decorative scales alone, but it asks the wearer to read several compact displays rather than a conventional, open dial. Maurice Lacroix’s announcement describes the four-aperture layout.
Dial and case: a bold, layered presentation
The announced dial is anthracite with vertical brushing. The apertures expose portions of the movement’s rhodium-plated mainplate, while the ML291 calibre has Côtes de Genève decoration. That partially openworked construction gives the watch visual depth, although it also contributes to the crowded impression created by the three arcs and their scales.

Movement: what is established about the ML291
Maurice Lacroix identifies the automatic movement as calibre ML291 and calls it a Manufacture calibre. That label should not be read as evidence that every component is made in-house: Monochrome Watches reports that the ML291 uses a Sellita SW 200 base with a Maurice Lacroix-developed and assembled retrograde module.

Monochrome also reports a frequency of 4 Hz, a 38-hour power reserve and 47 jewels. Those figures are the specialist publication’s reported specifications; they are not stated in the retrieved text of the manufacturer’s product listing.
Water resistance and practical details
The official US listing rates the watch to 10 ATM. This is the maker’s water-resistance rating; it is not, by itself, a promise of suitability for any particular activity. The watch also uses Maurice Lacroix’s Easy Change strap system. The international product listing names compatibility with references AC6008, AC6068, AC8008 and AC8018; it does not establish compatibility with third-party straps.

Who the AIKONIC Master Triple Retrograde is for
This is a specialist display watch for someone who values the visible return of retrograde hands and wants home time, weekday and date together. The extra information comes at the cost of a conventional, uncluttered dial, and the 43 mm by 13 mm case will not suit every wrist or preference. A prospective buyer should weigh the visual mechanism and layered finishing against those proportions and the regional price.
