The Raymond Weil Millesime Tri-Compax Automatic Chronograph pairs a sector-style dial with a three-register layout in a compact stainless-steel case. Its appeal is primarily visual: a glassbox crystal, vintage-inspired details and black, blue or anthracite dial options distinguish it from a conventional-looking chronograph. The current official listing specifies a 62-hour power reserve, though the 2024 launch-era specification was reported as 56 hours.
What makes the Millesime chronograph different?
The defining feature is the sector-style dial: concentric divisions and a tachymeter scale give the face a measured, instrument-like character. The chronograph uses a tri-compax arrangement, with running seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute elapsed-time counter at 3 and a 12-hour counter at 6, according to Monochrome Watches’ April 30, 2024 first look. The date is positioned at 4:30.

This is a period-inspired design, not a documented reissue of a specific watch from Raymond Weil’s archive. Monochrome’s later coverage describes the sector-dial idea as an homage to an earlier period rather than a reproduction of a historic Raymond Weil reference.
Case, crystal and movement
The original first look describes a stainless-steel case 39.5 mm across and 12.9 mm thick. Raymond Weil’s current product page calls the case 39.5 mm in its descriptive text but lists 39 mm in its technical specifications. Those figures are a nominal-size discrepancy on the listing, not evidence of two different case sizes. Water resistance is 50 m (5 ATM).

A box-shaped, anti-reflective sapphire crystal sits over the dial, while a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the movement. Monochrome notes that the raised crystal and curved caseback help the watch look less thick on the wrist than its 12.9 mm measurement might suggest; that is a visual observation, not a separate thickness measurement. Piston-style pushers, a fluted crown and rounded lugs reinforce the retro character.
The self-winding RW5030 is a mechanical chronograph movement based on the Sellita SW510, according to Monochrome and webChronos. The reserve figure differs by source and date: Monochrome’s 2024 launch-era article gives 56 hours, while Raymond Weil’s current product page lists 62 hours, a figure also reported by webChronos in 2025. The available sources do not explain the change, so the current official figure is the best guide to the present listing.
Dial options and configurations
| Configuration | Reference and documented details |
|---|---|
| Black | 7765-STC-20001. Raymond Weil’s current U.S. listing shows a black dial and black genuine calf leather strap. |
| Midnight blue | 7765-STC-50651. The launch-era version is described as a blue reverse-panda dial on a calfskin strap. |
| Anthracite | 7765-STC-60651. webChronos describes beige indices, rose-gold-tone hands and red subdial numerals; its reviewed configuration is shown on a steel bracelet. |
The black and blue versions offer the most direct contrast in the original presentation: the black dial is restrained, while the midnight-blue reverse-panda treatment gives the subdials more visual separation. The anthracite reference has a warmer, more varied palette. These are documented styling differences, not evidence that one version is more legible or preferable for every wearer.
What the wearing review says
Shigeru Sugawara of webChronos reports wearing the anthracite 7765-STC-60651 for three days. He found visibility generally good indoors and outdoors and described it as comfortable on his wrist. Those are his observations of that specific configuration and wearing period, not a controlled assessment or a guarantee of fit for other wrists.

Price and whether it merits a closer look
At the time the current regional Raymond Weil pages were checked in 2026, the black 7765-STC-20001 was listed at $4,175 on the U.S. store and CHF 3,795 on the international page. These are regional brand-store prices and can change. For context, Monochrome reported launch-era prices of CHF 3,450 and EUR 3,725 in 2024; those are historical figures, not current prices. webChronos listed the different anthracite reference at ¥594,000 tax included in Japan in 2025.
This Millesime is worth considering if a sector dial, a compact-for-a-chronograph 39/39.5 mm nominal case and vintage-inspired detailing are central to what you want. Before choosing, compare the exact reference, dial and strap or bracelet shown by the retailer, and confirm the price for your market. The available information does not establish comparative accuracy, long-term reliability, servicing costs or an objective value advantage over competing chronographs.
