The MING 37.05 Lunatic is the final watch in the brand’s 37.05 moonphase trilogy. Its defining change is a luminous arc that tracks the moonphase against a partially transparent, metalized sapphire dial. The 38mm steel watch is manually wound, water-resistant to 100 meters, and was limited to 100 pieces at launch in 2025.
What makes the 37.05 Lunatic different?
The original MING 37.05 introduced the line’s date-and-moonphase combination. A 2023 Series 2 followed with a star-patterned dial, and the 2025 Lunatic brought the trilogy to a close. Rather than displaying the moonphase with a conventional pair of lunar discs, the Lunatic uses a luminous arc that grows and recedes to indicate the lunar cycle.
The dial is partially transparent metalized sapphire. Depending on the light, it can appear dark or reflective silver. Polar White luminous hour markings, along with luminous date and moonphase indications, give the display a distinct look after dark. Fratello describes small dashed arcs as masking the moonphase wheel in daylight and reports that the indicator glows bluish green in darkness (Fratello, September 24, 2025).

Case, movement, and specifications
The case is brushed and polished 316L stainless steel. Its 38mm diameter and 44.7mm lug-to-lug measurement describe its footprint; the 11.9mm thickness includes the domed sapphire crystals. A sapphire display back reveals the movement, and the stated water resistance is 100 meters. The supplied configuration is a white FKM rubber strap with a stainless-steel tuck buckle; Fratello lists the strap width as 20mm.

The 288.M1’s finishing combines anthracite-coated skeletonized bridges with contrasting rhodium-plated, circular-brushed components. The hand-wound movement provides quick-setting for both the date and moonphase (Fratello; Hodinkee).
Launch price and whether it is still available
Fratello and Hodinkee reported a launch price of CHF 5,250 and production of 100 pieces in 2025. Those are historical launch details, not a current asking price or confirmation that a new watch can still be ordered.

Strap compatibility
Ace Jewelers says the watch is compatible with MING 20mm straps and accessories. That does not establish compatibility for every third-party strap or a particular accessory, so confirm fit and hardware details before purchasing a replacement.
