Piaget’s 2025 white-gold Polo 79 is reference G0A50150: a 38 mm integrated-bracelet watch in 18k white gold, with the model’s signature polished gadroons carried across its case, dial and bracelet. Monochrome reported a price of €85,500 including taxes when it published its first look on 1 April 2025; that figure is not a verified current price.
What is the white-gold Piaget Polo 79?
Reference G0A50150 is the monochromatic white-gold counterpart to the yellow-gold Polo 79 introduced in 2024. It revisits the original Polo’s horizontal gadroons—the raised, rounded bands that run across the watch’s surfaces—in a restrained combination of brushed planes and polished ridges. The integrated bracelet continues the case’s pattern, so the design reads as a connected whole rather than a conventional watch attached to a separate-looking strap.
Monochrome’s 1 April 2025 first look describes the watch as non-limited at publication. That is a dated description, not a guarantee of current production or availability.
How the Polo design reached the 79 revival
According to Monochrome’s historical account, the Polo began in 1979 following a conversation between Yves Piaget and Efraim Grinberg, then Piaget’s New York distributor. It was the first Piaget timepiece to carry a model name. Gold construction, a quartz movement and horizontal gadroons spanning case, bracelet and dial established its distinctive identity. The original line was discontinued in the late 1980s.

Piaget revived the Polo in a modernized form in 2001, followed by a cushion-shaped modern interpretation in 2016. The Polo 79, launched in 2024, turned back toward the original design language; the 2025 white-gold version keeps that visual emphasis while changing the metal and overall tone.
Case, dial and bracelet
The case is 18k white gold and measures 38 mm across. Monochrome’s technical table gives its thickness as 7.45 mm, while the same article’s narrative says 7.35 mm. The source is inconsistent, so 7.45 mm is best treated as the table’s stated figure rather than an undisputed measurement. Sapphire crystals cover the front and back, and the stated water resistance is 50 m.

The gold dial repeats the brushed stripes and polished gadroons. The article describes a tone-on-tone minute track punctuated by pearl-like dots, with 18k gold dauphine-style hands. The integrated white-gold bracelet alternates brushed and polished finishing and closes with a triple-blade folding clasp. Screws on the bracelet’s inner side allow it to be assembled or disassembled.
Movement: automatic calibre 1200P1
Inside is Piaget’s in-house automatic calibre 1200P1, which uses an off-centred micro-rotor to wind the movement while helping keep its profile slim. Monochrome lists 25 jewels, a 29.9 mm diameter, a 2.35 mm thickness, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), and a 44-hour power reserve. The movement displays hours and minutes.

The white-gold Polo 79 with a blue sodalite dial is a separate, later watch: reference G0A51151, covered by Monochrome in April 2026. It shares the 38 mm by 7.45 mm white-gold case, 50 m water resistance and calibre 1200P1, but has a blue sodalite dial without the minute-track dots described on G0A50150. Monochrome reported CHF 84,500 for that model in its April 2026 article. That is a separate dated price report, not the price of G0A50150 or a current-price confirmation.

For identification, the key distinction is the reference: G0A50150 is the 2025 white-gold model with the striped gold dial and dotted minute track; G0A51151 is the later sodalite-dial configuration. The cited articles do not establish a complete current Polo 79 range or the availability of either reference today.
