Praesidus lists it at US$550, with a Miyota 9039 automatic movement, sapphire crystal and a 10 ATM water-resistance rating. Its 46mm lug-to-lug measurement is a useful fit reference alongside the diameter.
What changes with the 38mm Jungle Field?
The 38mm model is an evolution of Praesidus’s Jungle Field design, not simply a larger version of the historical watch it references. Praesidus names the U.S. military’s GG-W-113 specification, developed in 1967, as its inspiration. Monochrome reports that the historical specification called for a 33mm or 34mm watch; the Jungle Field Automatic 38 keeps the clear, functional layout while using more contemporary proportions. It should be understood as a modern interpretation, not as an exact reproduction or a watch shown to have been issued to U.S. aircrew.
The published case dimensions are 38mm in diameter, 10.2mm thick and 46mm lug-to-lug. The lug-to-lug figure gives a sense of how far the watch spans across the wrist, while thickness indicates its vertical profile. Those measurements are more informative than labeling it simply small or large; actual fit also depends on wrist shape and preference.
Praesidus specifies a sandblasted 316L steel case, sapphire crystal and 10 ATM water resistance. Monochrome and Fratello describe the rating as 100 metres. This is the manufacturer’s stated rating, not a report of independent water testing. Praesidus also describes the watch as assembled in the US; that wording does not establish that it is made in the USA.

The sources document dial treatment and numeral color as the key visual distinction; they do not establish different performance specifications between the versions. Both are listed with green canvas or dark brown leather strap choices. Monochrome reports a 20mm strap width and quick-release levers.
What movement does it use, and does it have a date?
The watch uses the Miyota 9039, a no-date automatic movement. Monochrome reports 24 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), a 42-hour power reserve, hacking seconds and a stated accuracy range of -10/+30 seconds per day. These are published movement specifications, not accuracy or reserve results measured on this particular watch.

There is no date display. The absence of a date keeps the dial uncluttered and avoids a date-setting step when the watch has stopped. Monochrome’s Erik Slaven describes the design this way: “There’s no dial text to be found, keeping this as simple and to the point as possible – a true no-nonsense field watch.”

Praesidus lists the Jungle Field Automatic 38 at US$550, and Monochrome reports the same retail price. That is the documented price point in 2026; check the live listing for current pricing. The combination is straightforward on paper: a sandblasted steel case, sapphire crystal, 10 ATM rating and a widely specified Japanese automatic movement, in a compact case by contemporary standards. The published information does not establish comparative performance or overall superiority over other watches at this price.
