The Raúl Pagès RP2 is a manually wound, three-hand watch introduced in March 2025. Its display is deliberately spare—hours, minutes and small seconds—but its appeal lies as much in the construction and finishing of its in-house movement as in its blue-and-agate dial. Launch-era coverage reported a 38.5 mm recycled-steel case and a production run of 50 watches over five years.
What is the Raúl Pagès RP2?
The RP2 is an independent watchmaker’s time-only wristwatch: it shows hours and minutes from the center, with small seconds in a separate subdial. “Time-only” describes the information on the dial, not the difficulty of the mechanism behind it. The RP2’s restrained display leaves room for the movement’s architecture and hand finishing to be part of the proposition.
Raúl Pagès introduced the watch in March 2025. The details below reflect launch-era reporting; they do not establish the watch’s current price, availability or delivery schedule.
Case and dial
MONOCHROME’s March 2025 report gives the case a 38.5 mm diameter and 11.5 mm thickness, including its box crystal. It is made from recycled 316L stainless steel. The publication also lists sapphire crystals with double-sided anti-reflective coating and 30 m water resistance.

The dial pairs a deep cerulean-blue base with a white agate center. Small seconds add the only subdial, while hand-polished steel hands provide the principal time display. The contrast between the blue field and pale stone center supplies visual character without adding another function. These specifications and material descriptions are reported by MONOCHROME.
The Calibre RP2: simple display, elaborate execution
The in-house Calibre RP2 is manually wound and drives hours, minutes and small seconds. MONOCHROME and Hodinkee report 21 jewels and a 60-hour power reserve; MONOCHROME specifies a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. Hodinkee reports a 12.5 mm balance and a counterweighted Swiss lever escapement.

Hodinkee’s launch coverage describes hand finishing across the movement, including Côtes de Genève applied with a wood grinding wheel, polished bevels, satin-finished flanks and carefully finished wheels. Those decoration details are the publication’s reporting, rather than a claim of independent inspection. The distinction is central to understanding the watch: the RP2 keeps the visible task narrow while giving the mechanism and its finish a prominent role.
Straps and practical specifications
MONOCHROME reports that the watch was presented with two calfskin straps, in taupe and grey-blue, a steel pin buckle and 19 mm lug width. A 19 mm measurement may help when considering replacement straps, but it does not by itself confirm the fit of a particular strap or attachment. The same report lists 30 m water resistance; that figure is not a use recommendation.

Launch price, production and availability
At launch, MONOCHROME reported a price of CHF 89,000 excluding taxes and a production run of 50 pieces over five years. Hodinkee also reported CHF 89,000 and said orders were open in its March 2025 article. These are historical launch terms, not confirmation of the price, remaining allocation or delivery timing on October 8, 2026.
The Hour Glass’s April 3, 2025 article directed readers to its boutiques or to contact the retailer for pricing and enquiries. MONOCHROME pointed readers to the watchmaker’s website for further details. Those enquiry routes do not establish current stock or terms; confirm price, allocation and delivery directly with the watchmaker or retailer before making a purchase decision.

What to weigh before considering the RP2
The RP2 is most compelling to a buyer who values a clean time display, a distinctive stone-and-color dial and the craft of a manually wound movement. The reported case dimensions and 60-hour reserve offer useful points of reference, but a meaningful comparison with another independent time-only watch also depends on price and taxes, finishing and movement architecture, water resistance, production and delivery, service arrangements, and dial legibility. The launch coverage does not establish that the RP2 is superior to alternatives.
