The Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton pairs the collection’s traditional dress-watch styling with an openworked dial and an automatic movement rated for up to 80 hours of power reserve. The featured US model is reference T139.836.36.441.00: a 39 mm black PVD-coated steel watch on a black leather strap. Independent launch coverage appeared in 2024; it does not establish a new 2026 release.
What is the Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton?
It is a skeleton-dial version of Tissot’s Chemin des Tourelles collection. The openworked center exposes parts of the movement on the dial side, while a see-through caseback offers another view. Time+Tide framed the design at launch as a contemporary visual interpretation of a classic dress-watch collection; that is an editorial characterization, not a performance assessment. Time+Tide’s 2024 launch video introduced the watch on September 25, 2024.
Tissot says the collection takes its name from the street in Le Locle where its factory was established in 1907. That history comes from the manufacturer’s US product listing.
The featured US reference and its specifications
Tissot’s US reference T139.836.36.441.00 has a gunmetal dial, PVD-coated 316L stainless-steel case, and black leather strap. The listed strap has embossed cow leather on the front and a synthetic back. The watch weighs 63 g according to Tissot. Its crystal is sapphire with antireflective coating on the underside, and the caseback is transparent.

How the dial variants differ
Fratello’s 2024 hands-on launch report described blue, black, and ivory dial executions. It noted a Clous de Paris pattern on the blue version and sunray finishes around the skeleton center on the black and ivory versions. These are launch-era descriptions, not confirmation of today’s lineup in every country. Check the color, finish, case treatment, and reference on the regional product page before choosing a specific version. Read Fratello’s launch coverage.

Regional reference and price are not interchangeable
The Canadian listing shows a different package: reference T139.836.11.048.00 has a steel case and bracelet. Tissot lists the same 39 mm dimensions, 11.22 mm thickness, 20 mm lug width, automatic movement, up to 80-hour power reserve, Nivachron balance spring, and 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft) water resistance. Its listed price was C$1,325 when the page was crawled; check the current Canadian listing for availability and price. This is not the same SKU as the US black-PVD, black-leather model. What to consider before buying
Legibility needs a personal check
An openworked dial shows more of the movement but also creates a visually busy background. The available launch coverage does not establish a tested legibility judgment for this reference. If quick time-reading matters to you, inspect the exact dial in person or in clear, close-up images, paying attention to the hands’ contrast against the exposed movement.

Fit depends on more than the 39 mm diameter
The case is 39 mm across and 11.22 mm thick, with a 20 mm lug width. Those dimensions are useful starting points, but they do not establish how the watch will sit on a particular wrist. Wrist comfort and fit have not been established through controlled wear testing in the cited coverage.
Check the strap or bracelet fit by reference
Tissot lists a 20 mm lug width and describes the collection as using interchangeable quick-release bracelets. Before buying a 20 mm replacement strap or bracelet, confirm that its attachment is compatible with the exact watch reference; width alone does not prove that every fitting will attach correctly.

Consider what the movement specification does—and does not—tell you
Tissot specifies an automatic movement with up to 80 hours of power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring. “Up to” is the manufacturer’s stated maximum, not a measured result for an individual watch. The cited sources do not provide controlled timing results or a measured power-reserve test for this model.
