But that price is not confirmed as a live deal: Google’s current U.S. listing shows $249.95, while older retailer listings showed $199.95. Check the item, seller, stock and checkout total before buying; the offer may vary by retailer and color.
Is the Fitbit Sense 2 deal live?
The math behind the promotion is sound: $249.95 minus $199.95 is $50, or about 20% of the list price. The deal itself is time-sensitive. Google’s U.S. product page has shown both the $199.95 sale price and, in a more recent result, the regular $249.95 price. Macy’s listings and a Best Buy search result have also shown $199.95, but those crawled results do not establish current stock or checkout pricing.
The original Phandroid deal article was published August 13, 2025, so its headline is not evidence that the offer remains active in 2026. See Phandroid’s August 13, 2025 report and Google’s U.S. product listing for the offer context and current first-party reference.
Retailers to check
- Google Store: The first-party source for product details and the U.S. reference price. Its recent result showed $249.95, not the sale price. Check the Sense 2 listing.
- Macy’s: Search results showed $199.95 for several colors, but confirm that the specific variant is in stock and inspect seller, shipping and return terms. Listings: Shadow Gray/Graphite, Blue Mist/Soft Gold and Lunar White/Platinum.
- Best Buy: A search result has shown the Graphite model at $199.95, but this is a category/search page, not confirmation of an available product at that price. Check Best Buy’s Sense 2 results.
Before you pay
- Confirm the price remains $199.95 after selecting the color and adding it to your cart.
- Check that the watch is new, not refurbished or open-box, and identify who sells and ships it.
- Review shipping, tax, membership or coupon requirements, return terms and stock for your ZIP code.
- Look for an offer end date; none is established by the older sale listings cited here.
What the Sense 2 offers
The Sense 2 is Fitbit’s health-focused smartwatch, positioned by Google as its most sensor-rich Fitbit model—not necessarily the newest or most capable smartwatch across brands. Its combination of health sensors and a battery rated for more than six days is the main reason to consider it. Google’s Fitbit lineup comparison describes the health-focused positioning.

What it tracks and does
- Heart rate, high- and low-rate notifications, activity and exercise.
- Sleep duration, sleep stages and Sleep Score.
- Stress and body-response trends using cEDA, Fitbit’s continuous electrodermal activity sensor.
- Daily Readiness Score, with some recommendations and expanded insights tied to a paid membership.
- SpO2 trends and skin-temperature variation, where supported. Temperature tracking is not a diagnostic thermometer.
- ECG-based heart-rhythm assessments and irregular-rhythm notifications where available and where eligibility requirements are met.
- Phone notifications, Google Maps directions, Google Wallet payments and Alexa Built-in, subject to phone, account, country and service compatibility.
ECG and rhythm features assess or flag specific information; they are not a diagnosis and do not replace medical care. Availability differs by country and eligibility. Check Google’s feature specifications for regional limitations.

Phone compatibility and setup
Google’s U.S. specifications require the Google Health app and a compatible phone running iOS 16.4 or newer or Android 11.0 or newer. Setup and syncing also require a Google account, Bluetooth Low Energy and an internet connection. Meeting the minimum operating-system requirement does not guarantee every feature—such as payments or notifications—will work with every phone configuration.
- Charge and turn on the Sense 2.
- Install the Google Health app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Sign in with a Google account, or create one.
- Pair the watch from within the app, then grant Bluetooth and other requested permissions relevant to your use.
- Update the app and watch firmware, then check which features are supported in your country and phone setup.
Google’s getting-started instructions cover app installation and account setup; its supported-country information can help clarify regional availability.

What the trial and subscription cover
Core device tracking is distinct from paid coaching and expanded insights. Google’s current Sense 2 product result advertises three months of Google Health Premium, while an older configuration result mentioned six months of Fitbit Premium and renewal at $9.99 monthly or $79.99 annually. Those older trial and renewal terms should not be assumed to apply to a new purchase.
Check the exact membership offer at checkout, including eligibility, activation deadline, payment-method requirement and renewal terms. A trial may auto-renew unless canceled, and paid insights or coaching may end when membership ends even though basic tracking remains. The offer language is on Google’s product page; terms can change.

What “flagship” means—and what it does not
Sense 2 was Fitbit’s health-focused flagship at launch and Google’s cited comparison positions it as the brand’s most health-sensor-heavy smartwatch. That label does not mean it is the newest generation, has a broad third-party app ecosystem, or beats Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch or Pixel Watch at smartwatch functions. It also does not have LTE independence: calls require a paired phone within Bluetooth range or an applicable connection arrangement. Check the official specifications for the supported calling setup.
Support outlook in 2026
Google’s security-support table lists the Sense 2 for security updates until at least February 2028, with the date potentially extended while the device remains sold through Fitbit.com or the Google Store. This is a minimum security-update commitment, not a promise of new features, a thriving third-party app ecosystem or unchanged Fitbit services. See Google’s device security-support dates.

Consider another watch if…
- You need LTE or phone-free calls and connectivity.

Alternatives to compare
| Option | Consider it for | Trade-off versus Sense 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Fitbit Charge 6 | A smaller tracker with Fitbit health tracking and Google tools such as Maps and Wallet. | Tracker form factor rather than smartwatch-style screen and Sense 2’s broader sensor package. |
| Fitbit Versa 4 | Fitbit smartwatch design and more basic smartwatch and fitness functions. | Less health-sensor focused; does not offer the same cEDA and ECG-oriented feature set. |
| Google Pixel Watch line | Android users seeking a broader Google smartwatch experience and app functionality. | Sense 2’s manufacturer-rated 6+ day battery is a key advantage if charging less often matters. |
| Apple Watch | iPhone users who prioritize Apple integration, apps and communications. | Less suitable for cross-platform use; battery longevity is a trade-off against Sense 2. |
These are feature-based comparisons, not current price rankings. Check Google’s watch and tracker catalog for Charge 6, Versa 4 and Pixel Watch availability, and Apple’s Watch page for its current lineup.
