Swatch describes Big Bold watches as 47 mm and identifies Square and Pop as separate design families, but that 47 mm figure is a Big Bold category reference—not a size to apply to every Swatch. Check the dimensions of the watch you are considering, especially if you have a smaller wrist or want a discreet fit.
- Think about legibility: a colorful graphic or heavily layered dial can be more expressive but less immediate to read than a simple digital display.

Why G-SHOCK’s square looks the way it does
Casio traces G-SHOCK to Kikuo Ibe’s proposal for “A durable watch that would not break even if dropped.” The first model, the DW-5000C, debuted in 1983. That history helps explain why the 5000/5600 family’s square form feels purposeful, while the GA-110’s more elaborate design offers a different visual take on the brand.
