Four one-of-a-kind, gem-set Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches sold individually at Phillips in London on 28 September 2026 for a combined £37.3 million. Phillips reports that no buyer’s premium applied and that all proceeds go to the Federer Foundation and Re:wild. The four lots were unique pieces made for a single charity sale, so the result tells you what these watches achieved on one day. It does not set a price for a Daytona you could buy from an authorised dealer.
What each watch sold for
Phillips sold the four watches one at a time, each under a season name. The table below lists the reference, case metal, and the dial and counter stones that Phillips gives for each lot, along with the sale result it reports.

The Summer watch was the top result at £10.3 million. Autumn followed at £10.2 million, Winter at £10 million, and Spring at £6.8 million. The four results add up to the £37.3 million total. The figures are in pounds sterling as Phillips published them; the release does not convert them to another currency.
Shared specifications
All four watches are Cosmograph Daytonas that Phillips describes as individually unique. Each uses calibre 4131, which Phillips lists with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, and each is Superlative Chronometer certified. Each has 54 brilliant-cut diamonds on the lugs and crown guard. The bezels and hour markers use season-specific coloured gemstones or diamonds, and the dials and counters are made from natural stones rather than the lacquered dials of standard production models.

The shared movement and certification mean the lots differ mainly in case metal and in the gemstones used for the dial, counters and bezel. Phillips’s release does not describe the bezel or hour-marker stones for each season individually, so this article does not assign them lot by lot.
Who receives the money
Phillips states that all proceeds will go to two organisations: the Federer Foundation and Re:wild. According to Phillips, the Federer Foundation works on early and foundational learning for children in Southern Africa and Switzerland. Re:wild, which was co-founded by Leonardo DiCaprio, works to protect and restore wild ecosystems around the world.

The release does not say how the £37.3 million is divided between the two organisations, and it does not describe how either one plans to spend its share. Any split you see reported elsewhere is not confirmed by Phillips.
Was this Rolex’s first charity auction?
Phillips calls it a first-ever charity auction with Rolex. Aurel Bacs, Phillips Senior Consultant, said: “This is a historic moment for the world of watchmaking. We are deeply honoured to have played a role in this first-ever charity auction with Rolex and to support the important work of the Federer Foundation and Re:wild.” That characterisation comes from the auction house. The Rolex announcement itself was not among the sources checked for this article, so the “first-ever” claim should be read as Phillips’s statement.

Why this is not a Daytona price guide
The result shows what four specific watches achieved at one exceptional sale. It does not show a repeatable price for standard Daytonas, or even for other gem-set Daytonas. Each lot was a one-off, and the charitable purpose was part of the sale. Altitudes Magazine, in its 30 September 2026 report, also cautioned against using these results as a market baseline.
If you compare the four lots, the useful points of difference are the individual result, the case metal, the dial and counter stones, and the gemstone treatment. Four unique lots with no controlled comparison cannot show that the material alone explains the gap between the Summer and Spring results. The spread from £10.3 million to £6.8 million reflects the outcome of one sale, not a measured value for any one feature.
