The watch content starts after 27 minutes. Before that, the hosts talk about the watches they are wearing and have received. Here is what the episode’s official show notes say it covers, and where they stop.
The episode’s framing
The Fratello show notes describe 2024 as “a tough year for the industry” and “a great year for the community.” That is the publisher’s own framing in the episode introduction. It is not an independently established industry finding. The introduction also says the podcast grew and that the hosts met listeners in cities around the world. No audience figures are given, so treat that as a qualitative claim.
What the hosts discuss
The recap names five main threads:
- Geneva Watch Days. The notes don’t list specific announcements.
- The end of Rolex “for exhibition only” signs. This is the retail-side topic of the year.
- Balazs’s 2024 purchases, including a vintage Rolex Submariner 5513.
- Mike’s smaller-watch purchases, including tank-style watches and the research behind them. The notes don’t name the models.
- Omega Speedmaster releases. The page describes them as numerous across 2024 but gives no count and no reference numbers.
The Angelus preamble
The opening conversation is the most concrete part of the show notes. Balazs is wearing a new Angelus Chrono Dato Luxe. Mike received an Angelus 250 chronograph from Balazs on Christmas Eve. The talk then turns to an Angelus 215 as the next Angelus that might join Mike’s collection. The notes present these as conversation, not as recommendations.
Ways to read the episode’s watches
The notes don’t give dimensions, movements, prices or host rankings, so a spec comparison isn’t possible from them. They do support three loose groupings:

Limits of the written notes
- The notes are a recap, not a transcript. Detailed opinions, exact timestamps and additional models should be checked against the audio.
- The introduction’s wording shouldn’t be attributed to Michael or Balazs as a spoken quote.
- “A huge number” of Speedmaster releases is the page’s own phrasing. Don’t convert it into a figure or infer specific references.
- The Submariner 5513 is described as a vintage purchase. The notes say nothing about current availability.
