Fratello publishes the episode as a partnership post, so the career story and the product framing come from Fratello’s presentation of the brand, not from an independent review. Who is Sylvain Berneron, according to Fratello
Fratello’s episode page describes Berneron as trained in fine arts and industrial design. It says he began his career at BMW, spent five years at Richemont, and then spent five years as chief product officer at Breitling, where he also sat on the board. According to the same page, he left Breitling in September 2022 to build Berneron under his own name. These dates are Fratello’s account of his background. They have not been checked against Breitling, Richemont or BMW records for this guide, so treat them as the episode’s version of the chronology.

The Mirage: a case shaped by the movement
Fratello’s central claim about the Mirage is that its asymmetry is movement-led. The caliber is unconventional, and according to the episode, that caliber informed the shape of the case rather than the other way round. That is the key to reading the watch: the asymmetry is presented as a consequence of the mechanism, not a styling choice applied afterwards.

The episode page does not state a complication for the Mirage, and no production figure specific to the Mirage is published in the sources reviewed here. The brand’s general production statement is covered below.
The Quantième Annuel and the wrist check
The Quantième Annuel is the most fully specified model in the sources. Fratello describes an annual calendar combined with a jumping-hour display, which the 2025 introduction places on a manual-winding Berneron 595 movement with a 100-hour power reserve and 476 components. Fratello’s September 6, 2025 introduction gives the case as 38 mm in diameter, 45 mm lug-to-lug and 10 mm thick, and lists central minutes and small seconds alongside the calendar and jumping hours.

The Quantième Annuel Silver that Berneron wears in the episode has a platinum case with removable 904L steel armor, which protects the case when worn and can be taken off. The episode page also describes a solid-gold movement and a layout with vertical time indications and horizontal calendar indications. The armor is a detachable protective layer, not a separate watch, so the Silver should be read as one case configuration of the Quantième Annuel.
The Mirage Miroir: a mirrored movement on the dial side
Fratello says the 2026 Mirage Miroir makes its mirrored movement architecture a defining element on the front of the watch. The idea is that the movement is visible and central to the design, not hidden behind a conventional dial. The episode page does not give a complication, case dimensions or production limit for the Mirage Miroir, so this guide does not supply them.

The brand’s official site says Berneron timepieces are conceived, developed, manufactured and assembled in Neuchâtel and Jura, Switzerland. Fratello’s episode page describes the company as based in Neuchâtel and says it operates from a 650 m² facility opened in 2025. The two sources agree that Neuchâtel is central to the operation. The brand’s wording covers the Jura as well, while Fratello names only Neuchâtel for the base and the facility.

Production limits and the 600-watch target
The brand says annual output is limited by model to 24–36 pieces, depending on the reference. It also states an approximate target of 600 watches a year by 2035. The official site does not say in which year the production-limit statement was made, so the 24–36 range should be read as the brand’s current position as of the October 2026 review, not as a dated commitment.
The 600-watch figure is a target. It is not a verified production result, and no independent source in the reviewed material confirms current output.
