The Galaxy Watch 7 is no longer available for preorder. Samsung opened U.S. preorders on July 10, 2024, and began regular sales on July 24, 2024. You can still find the watch through Samsung and selected retailers, but any purchase now is a standard order and availability depends on the size, color, connectivity option, seller, and remaining inventory.
If you are shopping today, compare the Watch 7’s live price with the newer Galaxy Watch8 before buying. The Watch 7 makes the most sense when it is substantially discounted, especially for Android users who want a mainstream Samsung smartwatch without paying current-generation prices.

Galaxy Watch 7 price and availability
Samsung’s current U.S. purchase page displays the Galaxy Watch 7 at $299.99 for 40mm Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi and $329.99 for 44mm Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi. Those are the prices shown on the product page when checked, not a guarantee of the price you will see at checkout.

A separate Samsung June 2026 MSRP sheet lists lower manufacturer suggested prices: $249.99 and $279.99 for the Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi models, and $299.99 and $329.99 for LTE. Treat the MSRP sheet as an official pricing signal rather than proof that every Samsung or retailer checkout page uses those amounts.

Where can you buy the Galaxy Watch 7?
Samsung originally listed Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, Amazon, AT&T, and Best Buy as U.S. sales channels. Remaining stock can vary considerably between them. One retailer may have a 40mm model while another has only a 44mm LTE version—or a marketplace listing that is refurbished or sold by a third party.
Before ordering, verify:
- the exact case size and Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi or LTE configuration;
- whether the item is new or refurbished;
- the seller’s identity and authorization status;
- the return policy and warranty coverage;
- that the model is compatible with your country and carrier.
Samsung’s product page remains the safest starting point for checking official configurations, trade-in eligibility, and Samsung financing or installment options.
How the Galaxy Watch 7 preorder worked
The following is a historical explanation of the 2024 preorder process—not a current preorder guide. During the U.S. preorder period, buyers generally:

- Opened Samsung.com or a participating retailer between July 10 and July 23, 2024.
- Selected the 40mm or 44mm case, color, and Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi or LTE connectivity.
- Chose an available band or bundle.
- Applied an eligible trade-in or promotional code.
- Completed payment and reviewed the estimated shipping date.
- Shipped an eligible trade-in device within Samsung’s stated deadline.
Samsung advertised a free additional band for a limited time and a possible 25% discount on a second qualifying device. Those were launch promotions and should not be treated as current offers. General availability began July 24, 2024, so there is no remaining preorder window.
40mm versus 44mm: which size is better?
The 40mm model is smaller and lighter, making it the better fit for a smaller wrist or anyone who dislikes a bulky watch. It has a 1.3-inch display, a 300mAh battery, and weighs 28.8g without the band.
The 44mm model provides a larger 1.5-inch display and a larger 425mAh battery. It weighs 33.8g. The extra screen area helps with notifications and on-watch typing, while the larger battery is the more important practical advantage for many buyers.
Both versions use sapphire crystal, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and the Exynos W1000 processor. Green is offered in both sizes; Cream is associated with the 40mm model and Silver with the 44mm model in the cited U.S. model breakdown. Specifications are summarized by Android Central.

Choose 40mm for wrist fit and lower weight. Choose 44mm if readability and battery capacity matter more than compactness. The cheaper model is not automatically the better value if its battery or display is too small for you.
Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi versus LTE
Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi is the sensible choice for most people who carry a phone. The watch normally uses the paired phone for calls, messages, and connected services when it is away from a Wi‐Fi network.
LTE adds cellular connectivity so the watch can handle supported calls, messages, safety features, and streaming away from the phone. It also adds a hardware premium and requires activation with a compatible carrier, usually with a recurring monthly charge. Carrier support and eSIM policies vary by country and provider.
Buy Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi if your phone is usually nearby. Buy LTE only if independent connectivity is important and you have confirmed carrier compatibility and the total service cost. LTE is not automatically a better watch; it is a better fit for a specific use case.

Compatibility: check your phone before buying
The Galaxy Watch 7 requires an Android smartphone running Android 11 or later with at least 1.5GB of memory. It is not an iPhone-compatible smartwatch, so iPhone users should not expect normal pairing or functionality.
Some features also require a Samsung account, Samsung Health, and a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone. Samsung’s feature notes include additional Galaxy-phone requirements for selected health tracking functions. Check the requirements on Samsung’s official product page before ordering, particularly if you use a non-Samsung Android phone.
Health measurements should be treated as wellness or personal-reference information, not as medical diagnosis. Samsung says its heart-rate software functions are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent disease.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsUsing Samsung trade-in safely
A trade-in can reduce the net cost, but the advertised amount is generally an estimated or “up to” value until Samsung evaluates the device. Samsung’s requirements include that the device powers on, holds a charge, has a functioning display, is free of disqualifying damage, is removed from accounts and locks, and is factory-reset.

Samsung says the trade-in device must be sent within 15 days of receiving the purchase. If it fails the requirements or arrives late, the promised credit can be charged back. Before sending it:
- remove Google, Samsung, Apple, or other account locks;
- cancel any carrier service and confirm the device is not still under an installment agreement;
- back up your data and perform a factory reset;
- photograph the device’s condition and packaging;
- keep the shipping receipt and tracking number;
- read the promotion’s rules to see whether the trade-in can be combined with another offer.
Review the current terms through Samsung Trade-In rather than relying on a launch promotion or an old estimate.
Should you buy the Galaxy Watch 7 now?
Use this quick decision guide:
- Buy the Watch 7 if you use Android, find the exact configuration you want at a substantial discount, and do not need the newest generation.
- Compare the Galaxy Watch8 if the Watch 7 is close to its Samsung-listed price. Samsung’s June 2026 MSRP sheet lists the Watch8 from $349.99 for 40mm Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi and $379.99 for 44mm Bluetooth/Wi‐Fi, making the price gap important to check rather than assume.
- Choose 44mm for the larger display and battery.
- Choose 40mm for a smaller, lighter watch.
- Choose LTE only when phone-free connectivity justifies both the purchase premium and carrier fees.
- Consider the Galaxy Watch FE if the lowest entry price matters more than the Watch 7’s processor, storage, and newer health hardware.
- Consider the Galaxy Watch Ultra only if you specifically want a larger, rugged premium watch; Samsung’s June 2026 MSRP sheet lists it at $649.99, so it is not a direct value substitute for the Watch 7.
The Watch 7 is an older-generation product in 2026: Samsung’s current MSRP material also lists Galaxy Watch8 models. Do not pay near-new-generation money simply because a retailer labels the Watch 7 “on sale.” Compare the final checkout price, warranty, condition, and trade-in terms.

Bottom line
There is no Galaxy Watch 7 preorder to join now. The U.S. preorder ran from July 10 to July 24, 2024, after which the watch entered normal retail sales. Buy a Watch 7 today only when its remaining-stock price is meaningfully below newer alternatives, and choose the size and connectivity option around your wrist, battery, phone, and carrier needs—not the launch promotion.
