Geneva’s November 2025 auction calendar brought major watch and jewellery sales into a crowded stretch: Phillips and Antiquorum held sales on 8–9 November, Sotheby’s Breguet anniversary auction closed on 9 November, and Phillips’ jewellery sale followed on 10 November. Phillips reported a sell-out and a CHF 66.8 million total for its Decade One watch sale; Antiquorum reported CHF 7.1 million; and Phillips’ jewellery auction totalled CHF 13.7 million. The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) exhibition and awards added a wider watchmaking gathering to the week.

The totals above are each house’s or organizer’s reported figures, not a harmonized measure of the whole Geneva market. Phillips’ releases give results in three currencies; those are the house’s reported equivalents, not conversions calculated at a common exchange rate. Sotheby’s explicitly describes the price basis for its displayed catalogue results; the other figures should be read with the wording and basis provided by their respective sources.
Phillips’ Decade One sale sold all 207 lots
Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo held its two-day Decade One (2015–2025) watch auction at Geneva’s Hotel President on 8 and 9 November 2025. Phillips reported a total of CHF 66,815,725 / US$83,018,538 / €71,753,407 and said all 207 offered lots sold, representing 100% sold by lot and by value. The house described the US-dollar total as the highest in US dollars for any watch auction; that record claim is Phillips’ own characterization, not an independent market-wide assessment. The steel Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 led the headline results
A stainless-steel Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 achieved CHF 14,190,000 / US$17,631,075 / €15,238,641. Phillips called this the highest auction result for a vintage Patek Philippe wristwatch. That record description, too, is attributed to the auction house.

Participation extended beyond the sale room
Phillips reported 1,886 registered bidders from 72 countries, including 1,718 online, and said almost 800 collectors and enthusiasts attended in person. These are participation figures for this particular sale, as reported by Phillips, rather than indicators of the entire market. Phillips’ Decade One results release
Antiquorum reported CHF 7.1 million for its 8–9 November sale
Antiquorum’s official Virtual Catalogs archive lists its Geneva sale as taking place on 8–9 November 2025 and gives a total of CHF 7.1 million. The archive supports the date and aggregate, but does not establish a reliably verified leading lot here, so no individual result should be inferred from that total.

Sotheby’s Breguet auction began in October and closed on 9 November
Sotheby’s listed A Celebration of Breguet’s 250th Anniversary as a Geneva sale running from 24 October through 9 November 2025, with 70 catalogue results. It therefore overlapped with the core 8–10 November auction stretch, but did not begin during it. The catalogue included descriptions of historic watches attributed to Breguet and Breguet et Fils, including repeating watches, tourbillons, chronographs and marine chronometers; catalogue descriptions are not, by themselves, independent authentication findings.
Sotheby’s states that the results displayed on its auction catalogue page include Sotheby’s premium and exclude applicable taxes and costs. That price basis matters when comparing its displayed results with totals or lot prices reported by other houses.
Phillips’ jewellery auction followed on 10 November
Phillips concluded Geneva Jewels Auction V at the Hôtel Président on 10 November 2025. Its reported total was CHF 13,731,336 / US$17,048,827 / €14,726,858. Phillips said 96 of 114 lots sold: 85% by lot and 90% by value. The house also reported more than 1,600 visitors during the preview and sale, with bidders from 44 countries. Phillips’ jewellery-sale release
The Vanderbilt Family Jewels brought CHF 3,425,411
The Vanderbilt Family Jewels collection achieved CHF 3,425,411 / US$4,252,990. Phillips said the result was four times the collection’s low estimate. The cited top lot was The Vanderbilt Sapphire, a Belle Époque sapphire and diamond brooch, which sold for CHF 2,876,000 / US$3,570,841. Lot details are available in the Phillips Geneva Jewels Auction V catalogue.
Phillips Worldwide Head of Jewellery Benoît Repellin said: “The results of today’s sale attest to the enduring appeal of period jewels and the discerning eye of our international clients.” This is the auction house’s interpretation of its sale, rather than an independent assessment of jewellery demand.

The GPHG Foundation scheduled its exhibition at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire through 16 November 2025. It featured 84 watches and six clocks from 54 brands competing for 20 prizes. The foundation also scheduled the 25th awards ceremony for 13 November at Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, with a live broadcast. Its announced public programme included reserved guided tours and watchmaking workshops led with the Geneva School of Watchmaking. These were Foundation programme details for the 2025 event. In that release, Foundation President Raymond Loretan and Director Carine Maillard jointly described the GPHG as uniting the profession and opening watchmaking to the public “as an authentic art, a shared art.” The statement reflects the organizers’ view of the event’s purpose.
What the results do—and do not—show
The week’s figures document substantial, varied auction activity across watches, Breguet-focused lots and jewellery. They are not directly interchangeable: the sales covered different categories and dates, and the houses’ reported figures do not all state an identical price basis. Sotheby’s specifies that its displayed results include premium and exclude applicable taxes and costs; Phillips reports sale totals and lot prices in its own releases. These selected results alone do not establish a market-wide luxury-watch recovery or trend.
