The Watch Collectors’ Club is a watch-enthusiast community, not a watch brand or retailer. It brings people together through meetups, events, online talks and opportunities to see watches in person. Its official membership page lists annual Steel and Gold plans at £75 and £150, respectively; what each plan includes differs, so the right fit depends on how often you want to attend and which services you value.
What is The Watch Collectors’ Club?
The Club is for people interested in watches, from newcomers to experienced collectors. Its activities are built around meeting other enthusiasts, learning about watches and handling examples in person. The Club describes meetups, brunches and trips, events with watch brands, opportunities to see pre-owned watches through dealers, online talks and access to industry events. The Watch Collectors’ Club’s website presents these as ways to explore and share an interest in watches.
That hands-on emphasis is part of the appeal: a member may encounter new, vintage, unusual or precious watches at an event, rather than only seeing them in photographs or in a shop. The Club’s founder, Hamish Robertson, has described its purpose as making it easier for people to explore, learn and share enthusiasm for watches. His introduction to the Club says events are open to everyone and take place regularly in London and Manchester.
How the Club began
Fratello’s April 30, 2024 profile says the Club was founded in 2020 and held its first collective event in Farringdon, London, in October 2021. The profile recounts early brand-hosted experiences, including events with Bremont and a tour of Bremont’s manufacturing and technology centre, followed by the Club taking the lead in organizing and presenting its own events. Those details describe the Club’s history; they should not be read as a guide to its current calendar.

How much does membership cost, and what do you get?
The membership page reviewed on October 7, 2026 lists two annual tiers. The prices and benefits are the Club’s published terms at that time and may change; check the current membership page before joining.
| Membership | Annual price | Listed access and benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Steel | £75 per year | Access to all Club meetups and four retailer events per year. |
| Gold | £150 per year | All Club events, unlimited retailer events, a buying advice service, an annual personal collection review and complimentary partner events. |
Both tiers are recurring annual memberships, rather than prices for a single event. Steel may suit someone mainly interested in meetups and a limited number of retailer events. Gold adds broader event access and the advice, collection-review and partner-event benefits; its value depends on whether those extras are useful to you.
The Club also offers gift memberships. Its site says members can receive benefits or discounts in categories including watch straps, magazines, insurance and security. The reviewed benefits page does not identify specific insurance or security providers, so check the current terms for participating partners and any conditions before relying on a particular discount. The Club’s benefits page has the published overview.
What events are available, and where?
The Club’s current membership information describes in-person and online events taking place nearly every week of the year, with more than 50 in-person events per year. Its homepage identifies London and Manchester as event locations. When reviewed on October 7, 2026, the homepage listed the Manchester Watch Show for November 7, 2026.

The membership page also displayed a free Bremont Mayfair boutique event for October 7, a ticketed watch-photography meetup in Shoreditch for October 10, and a Louis Vuitton event for October 14, 2026. These are dated listings, not a standing schedule. Availability, ticket requirements and member access can change; check the current event listings for the details of the event you want to attend.
Can you attend an event before joining?
The founder’s introduction says events are open to everyone, while the membership page describes tiered access to meetups, retailer events and other Club events. That means access should be checked event by event: “open to everyone” does not establish that every listing is free, unticketed or unrestricted. Look at the specific event page for its ticket price, booking requirements and any membership conditions before making plans.

Is membership a good fit?
The Club is most relevant if you want watch-focused social events, opportunities to handle watches, or a way to learn alongside other enthusiasts. Consider how often you are likely to attend, whether you need retailer-event access, and whether Gold’s advice and collection-review services justify its higher annual fee for you. If you are interested in just one event, compare its individual ticket and access terms with the cost and benefits of annual membership.
The homepage reviewed on October 7, 2026 describes the Club as having more than 5,000 watch enthusiasts. That is the Club’s own audience figure, not an independently audited count. The Club also invites brands to discuss partnerships and says it can help them engage this community; neither statement establishes a particular referral or affiliate arrangement.
