Verdict: The Golden Concept Racing Sport Edition RSTIII49 Amber Rose is a conspicuous luxury conversion for an Apple Watch Ultra, not a sensible all-purpose protective upgrade. Its rose-gold-colored steel, 410 white moissanites and limited-edition numbering make the case a fashion object; its €2,999 European listing, very high combined weight and potential loss of ECG access make it a poor fit for sports, diving or health-first use. Golden Concept lists the case for 49 mm Apple Watch Ultra 1, 2 and 3 models, and offers a package option without the watch.
What the RSTIII49 Amber Rose includes
This is an aftermarket case-and-strap package made by Golden Concept, not an Apple Watch or an Apple-made accessory. The Apple Watch Ultra is a separate item, although Golden Concept’s product page offers a purchase option that includes the watch. Check the selected package before checkout: the headline price should not be read as the price of a complete Apple Watch setup. The European listing shows €2,999 including tax. Golden Concept’s Amber Rose listing describes the contents as an instruction book, watch case, strap and warranty card.
The case is specified as 316L stainless steel with 18-karat rose-gold PVD plating—not solid gold. Its bezel carries 410 white moissanite gems, not diamonds. Moissanite is a gemstone often used as a diamond alternative, but the listing does not provide a gemological certificate, total carat weight, or grading details for cut, color or clarity. The stones and limited-run styling are part of what the asking price buys; they do not establish diamond-equivalent resale value.
Golden Concept says the edition is limited to 99 pieces globally, with an individual number engraved on the backplate. That indicates limited production, not guaranteed scarcity in the resale market or future appreciation. Golden Concept is independent of Apple and says it is not Apple-affiliated or authorized. Its terms and disclaimer also say Apple is not obligated to service, repair or replace products sold, modified or accessorized by Golden Concept.

Design and fit: a much heavier watch
The Amber Rose listing gives the case dimensions as approximately 52.9 × 45.6 mm and its weight as 155 g without the Apple Watch, or 216 g with one. For comparison, Apple lists the 49 mm titanium Apple Watch Ultra at 49 × 44 × 12 mm and 61.3 g. The finished configuration is therefore not a subtle trim around the stock watch: the listed assembly weighs more than three times the bare Ultra. Apple’s technical specifications describe the stock model; the dressed-case figures come from the Amber Rose product page.
There is a weight inconsistency across Golden Concept’s RSTIII49 material: the Amber Rose listing gives 155 g case-only and 216 g with a watch, while another RSTIII49 page gives 165 g and 225 g. Treat the Amber Rose page’s figures as the relevant published specifications for this model, but confirm the exact configuration with the seller if weight is decisive.

The listed strap is white fluoroelastomer with a rose-gold butterfly buckle. Golden Concept’s Amber Rose page says the strap fits wrists up to 25 cm, while its general Racing Sport sizing page gives a 13–23 cm wrist range. Those published ranges differ, so measure your wrist and confirm sizing for the exact Amber Rose package before ordering. The general RSTIII49 sizing page also describes the Hatch-Bezel system, which Golden Concept says allows push-button installation and removal.
There is no independent comfort test established for this model. On paper, the weight and dimensions raise practical questions for long wear: wrist fatigue, pressure while sleeping, clearance under cuffs, contact with a desk while typing, and movement during exercise. The raised, stone-set bezel and buckle may also catch on clothing or press against the wrist, but that needs hands-on confirmation rather than assumption. This configuration is most plausible for occasional, low-impact wear where its appearance is the point.

Apple Watch features: check the crown and sensors first
Do not assume a decorative case preserves every Ultra function. Golden Concept’s Japanese Amber Rose page warns that the design covers the Digital Crown and makes ECG unavailable. That is a material limitation: Apple’s ECG procedure requires the wearer to touch the Digital Crown with a finger from the opposite hand for a 30-second recording. Golden Concept Japan’s Amber Rose page states the model-specific warning, and Apple’s ECG guidance explains the recording procedure. Confirm that the regional version you are buying has the same construction and limitation.
Sensor contact is another concern. Golden Concept’s Japanese material warns about ECG; related RSTIII49 material also warns that the back case can disable health measurements. Apple says ECG and other readings require clean, dry contact and cautions that third-party accessories can fit poorly or interfere with Wrist Detect. Apple’s accessory and cleaning guidance explains those risks. Heart-rate readings, workout tracking and wrist detection therefore should be tested on the actual configuration rather than presumed reliable.

Other functions—including touchscreen use, side and Action button access, charging alignment, speaker and microphone performance, Apple Pay and emergency controls—also need confirmation with the case installed. The product listing’s existence alone does not establish that each control or sensor works normally. Before relying on it, check crown rotation and pressing, button access, ECG availability, heart-rate readings at rest and during exercise, Wrist Detect, charging, and audio functions. Do not make it the only configuration for a health feature or emergency function you depend on until verified.

Golden Concept describes the case as water resistant, but the product information cited here does not give an independent case-level depth rating for the Amber Rose configuration. Apple rates the stock Apple Watch Ultra to 100 meters under ISO 22810 and says it is suitable for recreational scuba diving to 40 meters subject to limitations. Those figures describe Apple’s watch, not automatically the watch after it is enclosed in a third-party case. Apple also notes that water resistance can diminish over time. Apple’s Ultra specifications and water-resistance guidance set out those qualifications.

Because a case can change access to controls, openings, sensor contact and pressure behavior, do not treat the combined setup as retaining Apple’s dive suitability. In the absence of a specific manufacturer-backed depth certification for this exact configuration, the conservative choice is to keep it to dry, low-impact wear and avoid diving or high-risk water activity. Ask Golden Concept for written guidance before exposing it to a pool, salt water, hot tubs or high-speed water sports; no specific exposure guidance for those situations is established by the cited listing.
Price, value and purchase checks
At €2,999 including tax on Golden Concept’s European storefront, the RSTIII49 Amber Rose is priced as a designer luxury accessory, not an ordinary protective shell. The Japanese storefront lists a comparable Amber Rose version at ¥539,000, illustrating regional price differences; currencies should not be directly compared without checking the exchange rate, taxes and package contents. Golden Concept Japan’s Racing Sport III collection shows the Japanese listing. Confirm whether the watch is included, the local tax treatment, shipping and any import charges for your location.
The value proposition rests on the visual treatment, moissanite setting, branded construction and limited-edition presentation. It is difficult to justify on protective utility alone: the cited product information does not establish impact-test results, stone-loss rates, plating lifespan or independent durability testing. PVD is a surface finish, so edges, buckle contact points, strap interfaces and desk-contact areas are sensible places to inspect for wear over time, but no service life can be stated from the available specifications.
Golden Concept’s general RSTIII49 page says returns and exchanges are accepted within 45 days of delivery, with exclusions for used, customized or discounted products; it also says international customers may owe duties and taxes. These are general policy statements, not a guarantee of eligibility for this exact order or country. Confirm return eligibility before opening or installing the case, along with warranty coverage, loose-stone repairs, cleaning requirements and whether Apple service will require removal. Who should buy it—and who should pass
It may suit you if
- You want a jewelry-like, highly visible accessory and value its appearance more than a lightweight feel.
- You expect to wear it mainly for fashion, timekeeping and notifications in dry, low-impact settings.
- You are comfortable paying a luxury price for the finish, stones, design and numbered production rather than for a tested protective upgrade.
Skip it if
- You depend on ECG, wrist detection, reliable health readings or unrestricted access to the Digital Crown.
- You use the Ultra for running, climbing, contact-heavy sport, swimming or diving.
- You want a lightweight setup, a conventional protective case, solid gold, natural diamonds or Apple-authorized service assurance.
- You wear the watch overnight or continuously and have not confirmed that the extra weight and bulk are comfortable for you.

- Confirm your watch is a compatible 49 mm Apple Watch Ultra 1, 2 or 3.
- Verify whether the selected price includes the Apple Watch, and confirm local tax, shipping and import charges.
