The Grand Seiko SBGH351 Rikka and SBGH353 Shūbun share the same 62GS-inspired case, Hi-Beat movement and core specifications. The choice is principally about their dials: the SBGH351 is green and draws on early summer, while the SBGH353 is deep blue and evokes skies around the autumn equinox.
How the SBGH351 and SBGH353 differ
Grand Seiko presents both models as modern reinterpretations of its 1967 62GS design, whose bezel-free construction gives the dial a broad opening. Their most apparent distinction is the seasonal dial concept, not a different movement or case proposition.

Accuracy figures: two different measures
Grand Seiko lists a mean daily rate of +5 to −3 seconds per day and normal-use accuracy of +8 to −1 seconds per day for each model. These figures describe different measures and should not be treated as interchangeable guarantees.

Choose the SBGH351 if the green dial suits you
Its deep-green dial and early-summer Rikka theme make it the straightforward choice if that color is the one you want to see on your wrist.

Choose the SBGH353 if you prefer blue and gold accents
Its deep-blue dial, gold-toned details and Shūbun autumn-equinox story distinguish it visually from the SBGH351.
Compare the dimensions with your wrist
Both measure 40.0 mm across, 47.0 mm lug-to-lug and 12.9 mm thick. Those shared measurements make the listed case dimensions a useful starting point, but identical dimensions do not guarantee the same subjective fit for every wearer.
