Seiko’s green limited editions are not one kind of watch: the Prospex SLA047 is the clearest green-dial diver, Presage offers a hand-finished Urushi lacquer dial, and Astron’s SSH071 pairs a green dial with GPS Solar timekeeping in titanium. They share a color, not a purpose. And an edition size is a historical production figure—not proof that a watch is available to buy now.
Which Seiko limited editions have a documented green dial?
Among these examples, Seiko directly describes green dials on the Prospex SLA047, the older Prospex SLA019J1, the Presage Green Urushi Dial Limited Edition, and Astron SSH071. The distinctions matter: Seiko’s 2021 anniversary-series page documents green additional straps for SPB207 and SSC807, but the accessible specifications do not establish that either has a green dial. A green strap alone is not evidence of a green dial.
Prospex SLA047: the clearest green-dial diver
The SLA047 is a Prospex diver released as part of Seiko’s 140th-anniversary series. Seiko describes its dark green dial and gold-colored seconds hand, along with a stainless-steel case, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, and water resistance up to 300 m. Its automatic caliber 8L35 is paired with an additional dark-green silicone strap. Seiko listed the limited edition at 3,000 pieces and availability from April 2021; that release information does not establish current stock. Seiko’s 140th Anniversary Prospex release describes the seconds hand as “reminiscent of the sunrise over a lush virgin forest.”
Prospex SLA019J1: an earlier forest-inspired edition
The SLA019J1 is a separate Prospex professional diver, not another name for the SLA047. Seiko connects its dark green dial to the cedar forests of Yakushima and identifies it as a 50th-anniversary limited edition of 1,968 pieces. It uses caliber 8L35, has a stated 50-hour power reserve, and came with an additional high-strength silicone strap. Seiko’s historical page says it was available from July but the accessible passage does not specify the year, so that timing should not be treated as a current release date. Seiko’s Prospex anniversary page gives the model’s edition details.

SPB207 and SSC807: green straps, not confirmed green dials
Seiko’s 2021 anniversary material lists both the SPB207 and SSC807 as limited editions and documents additional dark-green silicone straps. It describes the SPB207 as based on the 1968 300 m diver design, with a 6R35 movement and a 6,000-piece edition. The SSC807 is a Sumo-style solar chronograph with caliber V192, a screw-down crown, 200 m water resistance, and a 4,000-piece edition. The cited specifications do not directly establish green dials for either model; consider them only if the strap color, rather than dial color, is what you want.
How do the Presage and Astron green models differ from the divers?
Presage Green Urushi: the dial is the point
The Presage Craftsmanship Series Green Urushi Dial Limited Edition is a craft watch, not a diver specification exercise. Seiko’s 2022 brochure passage describes a hand-painted and polished Urushi lacquer dial made in master craftsman Isshu Tamura’s Kanazawa studio. The available passage does not establish a reference number or a complete specification set, so it is not possible to responsibly fill in a model code, movement, case size, or water-resistance figure here. Seiko’s 2022 brochure identifies the limited-edition craft model.

- Case diameter: 43.5mm
- Gold tone second hand
- Water Resistant To 165 Feet
- Power reserve: approximately 41 hours
- 21,600 vibrations per hour
Astron SSH071: GPS Solar travel functionality
The Astron SSH071 is the travel-focused option in this group. Seiko’s Singapore product page identifies a green dial, titanium case, ceramic bezel, and GPS Solar caliber 5X53. That regional page lists a 42.8 mm case diameter, 20 bar water resistance, and a limited quantity of 2,000 pieces. These details distinguish it from the mechanical Prospex divers and hand-finished Presage dial; the Singapore page’s pricing and local availability should not be generalized to other markets. Seiko Singapore’s SSH071 product page is the source for those specifications.

How to choose among these green Seiko watches
- Choose SLA047 if you want the strongest match for a green-dial Prospex diver with a documented 300 m rating and an extra green strap.
- Choose SLA019J1 if the Yakushima-inspired dark green dial and the older 50th-anniversary diver story are central to your interest.
- Look at the Presage Urushi edition if dial craft and lacquer work matter more than diver features; its cited brochure passage does not provide enough information for a full specification comparison.
- Choose Astron SSH071 if GPS Solar timekeeping, titanium, and the travel-watch role matter more than a mechanical diver format.
- Do not infer a green dial from SPB207 or SSC807’s green extra strap. Verify the exact dial and reference in seller photographs and official documentation before buying.
What limited edition means for availability
Seiko’s pages give production quantities and historical release information, not a live inventory count. The SLA047 page dates availability to April 2021, while the cited pages for the other limited models likewise describe editions rather than current stock. A limited quantity does not establish that a watch is sold out, still available, or appreciating in price.
For a purchase, check the exact reference against a current regional Seiko retailer listing or a reputable secondary-market seller. Confirm condition, seller provenance, return terms, regional price, and actual stock before committing. For a replacement strap, verify the precise reference and lug fit instead of assuming that a strap marketed for another Prospex model will fit.
