The Rolex Datejust 36 reference 126234 pairs a 36 mm Oystersteel case with a white-gold fluted bezel, Rolex’s calibre 3235 and a date display. It is offered in different dial and bracelet configurations. Rolex’s US listing for one specific version, the silver-dial model with an Oyster bracelet, showed $9,900 when accessed on October 8, 2026; that figure is not a universal price or a guarantee of availability.
What is the Datejust 36 reference 126234?
Reference 126234 is a 36 mm Datejust in White Rolesor, Rolex’s combination of Oystersteel and white gold. Its fluted bezel is gold. Rolex says the bezel fluting originally helped screw the bezel onto the case, contributing to water resistance; it later became an aesthetic signature. Rolex’s product page describes this design.
The case has a screw-down crown with Rolex’s Twinlock system and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Rolex specifies water resistance to 100 metres (330 feet). These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. Rolex lists the case and movement specifications.
Movement and performance
Rolex specifies its self-winding calibre 3235, with centre hour, minute and seconds hands, an instantaneous date with rapid setting, stop-seconds and a bidirectional Perpetual rotor. The movement includes a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. Rolex gives the power reserve as approximately 70 hours and precision as −2/+2 seconds per day after casing. Its Superlative Chronometer designation combines official chronometer certification with Rolex certification after casing. Dial and bracelet configurations
The reference is available with different dials and bracelets, so check the full configuration rather than relying on the reference number alone. Rolex’s US page for m126234-0014 describes a silver dial with an Oyster bracelet. Its m126234-0061 page describes a white dial with a five-piece Jubilee bracelet, folding Oysterclasp and 5 mm Easylink comfort extension. Silver dial and Oyster; white dial and Jubilee.
Oyster and Jubilee offer distinct appearances and link construction. Rolex says the Jubilee bracelet was designed for the Datejust’s 1945 launch. Choose by the dial and bracelet combination you prefer, and verify clasp and bracelet details on the exact listing. Rolex’s Jubilee configuration.

What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you about fit
The 36 mm case diameter is a useful starting point, but it cannot determine how the watch will wear on an individual wrist. Rolex’s cited product pages do not state lug-to-lug length or thickness, and the available source information does not provide independent wrist-fit measurements. If fit is important, try the watch on with the bracelet configuration you intend to wear.
