What the Gruman Sputnik GMT is
Gruman announced the Sputnik in time-only and GMT versions. The design took inspiration from Sputnik, the first artificial satellite: engraved lines and embossed dots on the dial were intended to suggest bolted satellite panels. The 2017 launch article lists four GMT dial variants: Anthracite, Silver, Blue and Black. How the GMT display works
The reported GMT layout combines an arrow-shaped GMT hand with an additional 24-hour index on the dial. The outer bezel carries city names, while the shared two-crown cushion case houses an inner rotating diver’s bezel. These features provide separate references for a second time zone and elapsed time; the launch article does not explain a specific operating procedure or establish whether every delivered watch had the same configuration.

Movement reports conflict
The movement identification is not consistent across the historical coverage. Worn & Wound’s 2017 launch article names an elaboré-grade Sellita SW330-1 and states a 42-hour reserve. An earlier Watchisthis preview from 2016 identifies an ETA 2893. The later article is the available source for the announced production specification, but neither report establishes the movement fitted to every watch ultimately delivered. Confirm the movement for a specific example through its documentation or an authoritative seller or service record.

Launch pricing and delivery were historical
Worn & Wound reported a $590 GMT pre-order price and a $980 price after the pre-order period, with delivery expected by the end of January 2018. Those figures and the delivery estimate describe the original launch announcement only; they are not current offers or evidence that the watch remains in production. The article also mentioned an optional bracelet, but did not establish present availability or compatibility details.
