The practical distinction is clear in the manufacturers’ specifications: the 39 mm TUDOR 1926 Luna has a steel bracelet, 100 m water resistance and approximately 38 hours of power reserve; the 38.50 mm Longines Flagship Heritage Moonphase has an alligator strap, 3 bar water resistance and up to 72 hours of power reserve. Neither set of specifications establishes which watch is better overall. The right choice depends on the design and features you want, plus the price and warranty available in your country.

Specifications and listed prices come from the manufacturers’ pages: TUDOR’s 1926 Luna listing and Longines’ Flagship Heritage Moonphase listing. The prices are from different markets and are not a like-for-like price comparison.
What the water-resistance ratings tell you
TUDOR specifies 100 m water resistance, while Longines specifies 3 bar. Those are the ratings published for these particular references; they should not be treated as a direct guide to every real-world activity or as a substitute for the manufacturers’ care guidance. If water exposure matters to your decision, check the current instructions and warranty terms for the exact watch in your market.
Power reserve and movement details
TUDOR: approximately 38 hours
TUDOR identifies the Luna’s movement as self-winding mechanical Calibre T607-9 and gives an approximate 38-hour power reserve. “Approximately” matters: this is the manufacturer’s stated specification, not a comparative test result.

- Stainless bracelet, butterfly clasp with push-buttons closure
- Water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft): suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering, but no diving or snorkeling.
- 2 Year International Warranty
Longines: up to 72 hours
Longines specifies an automatic movement with a monocrystalline silicon balance-spring, a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of up to 72 hours. The longer stated reserve is a useful specification if you expect to leave the watch unworn for a day or two, but it does not by itself establish greater accuracy or overall movement superiority.
Bracelet, strap and dial choices
The cited TUDOR reference pairs its champagne dial with a seven-row steel bracelet, folding clasp and safety catch. Its case measures 39 mm across, 10.1 mm thick and has a 21 mm lug width. TUDOR’s product and press material also identify black and blue dial versions of the Luna; confirm the exact reference and bracelet configuration when shopping.

- 59 teeth gear for 29 ½ Days MoonPhase Display
- BlueGold Stone Dial
- Perlage Movement Polished and Engraving
- Big Date Indicator
- Exhibition Case Back Cover
The cited Longines reference is 38.50 mm across, with a sunray beige dial, Swiss Super-LumiNova and an alligator strap with buckle. Longines’ official page lists other dial-and-strap variants in the model line. Verify the reference rather than assuming another configuration shares every specification shown for L4.815.4.62.2.
The diameter difference is only 0.5 mm, but dimensions alone do not establish how either watch will look or feel on a particular wrist. If fit is decisive, try the exact configuration in person where possible; bracelet and strap, wrist shape and personal preference all affect the experience.

Case details and brand context
The Luna has a polished steel case, smooth polished steel bezel, screw-down steel crown and sapphire crystal. TUDOR’s press material describes it as the brand’s first moonphase watch and presents the 39 mm model in blue, black and champagne dial colors. The product page credits Jay Chou as a creative collaborator; that is brand-reported context, not an independent assessment of the watch.
Longines gives its Flagship Heritage a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with multiple anti-reflective coating layers on both sides. The screw-down case back displays an 18-karat gold medallion bearing a caravel. Longines describes Flagship as an emblematic collection since the late 1950s and identifies the caravel as its emblem.

Price, warranty and buying locally
TUDOR’s US product page showed a suggested retail price of $3,000 for M91560-0001 when accessed in 2026; the brand notes that prices and models may change. Longines’ Swiss page listed CHF 2,950 for L4.815.4.62.2 when accessed in 2026. Because those figures are in different currencies and apply to different markets, they do not establish which watch costs less where you live.
Before buying, check the exact reference, local authorized-retailer price, taxes, stock and seller legitimacy. Confirm the current warranty terms in your country as well: TUDOR describes a five-year transferable guarantee without registration or periodic maintenance checks, while Longines states that its automatic watches have a five-year guarantee. Warranty coverage and terms should be verified with the manufacturer or an authorized retailer for the intended market.

- You want the published 100 m water-resistance rating.
- You prefer a steel bracelet and the cited champagne-dial configuration.
- You value TUDOR’s stated approximately 38-hour reserve and the dimensions or design of this reference.
Choose the Longines if its specification and configuration suit you
- You prefer the cited beige dial and alligator strap.
- You value the manufacturer-stated reserve of up to 72 hours.
- You want the Flagship Heritage’s caravel medallion and its specific case and crystal details.
