Moser & Cie. and Alpine presented the Streamliner Alpine Drivers and Mechanics Editions as a paired set at the Spanish Grand Prix: one is a mechanical skeleton flyback chronograph, the other a connected digital watch designed for Formula 1 team use. The manufacturer lists the 200-piece set under reference 6700-1200 at CHF 59,000 excluding VAT. The available product information describes the watches’ design and intended roles, but does not establish firsthand examination or measured effects on race-team performance.
One collaboration, two different instruments
The pairing divides the story between traditional mechanical timing and connected information for a racing team. H. Moser & Cie. presents the Drivers Edition as the movement-focused watch; the Mechanics Edition is the digital tool, with features aimed at team operations. Alpine says the collaboration began in 2024 and that the watches were developed with Alpine Motorsports. The brands unveiled them to coincide with the Spanish Grand Prix.
Alpine framed the project by asking how a Swiss watchmaker could support its Formula 1 and Endurance teams in their pursuit of precision and performance. That is the collaboration’s stated ambition, not evidence that the watches have produced measurable gains.
How the paired set is sold
H. Moser & Cie. identifies the set as reference 6700-1200, limited to 200 pieces, with both watches presented together in one case. The manufacturer’s current product listing gives a price of CHF 59,000 excluding VAT. That is the listed price, not a guarantee of a final local price, tax treatment, reservation status or remaining availability.

- Case Size: 45 mm, Band Width: 22 mm, Case Thickness: 14.79 mm
- Swiss Automatic Movement, 316L stainless steel case
- Water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m / 330 ft)
Drivers Edition: a skeleton flyback chronograph
The Drivers Edition is the mechanical half of the collaboration. H. Moser & Cie. equips it with the HMC 700, which the brand describes as its first skeletonised chronograph movement, developed with movement partner Agenhor.
Movement and timing
The HMC 700 displays chronograph minutes and seconds centrally, rather than using subdials. Its flyback function is intended to let the wearer reset and restart the chronograph in one action. The official listing gives the movement a 72-hour power reserve.

Case and design
The steel case measures 42.3 mm in diameter and is rated to 12 ATM water resistance. H. Moser & Cie. cites single-seater suspension, a racing helmet and the wheel rim of the Alpine A110 as design inspirations. These are visual references, not literal components of the watch.
Mechanics Edition: connected functions for team use
The Mechanics Edition takes a different approach: a digital display remains silent on standby and activates to show selected information. H. Moser & Cie. lists GMT with a country selector, a split-seconds chronograph, a perpetual calendar and an F1 mode. That mode includes countdowns to race starts and notifications of key race moments.

- Stainless steel case
- Black dial
- Swiss-automatic movement
- Case diameter: 40mm

A small domed Funky Blue fumé dial shows the time and date. The watch is positioned as a connected work tool, rather than as a second version of the Drivers Edition’s mechanical chronograph. Alpine describes the intended purpose as streamlining communication and speeding up processes; those are promotional claims about design intent, not independently established operational results.

| Feature | Drivers Edition | Mechanics Edition |
|---|---|---|
| Core approach | Mechanical skeleton chronograph | Connected digital watch with a small time-and-date dial |
| Listed timing functions | Central chronograph minutes and seconds; flyback | Split-seconds chronograph; F1 mode with race-start countdowns and notifications of key race moments |
| Other listed functions | Not stated on the manufacturer’s product listing | GMT with country selector; perpetual calendar |
| Reported operating duration | 72-hour power reserve, as listed by H. Moser & Cie. | One year in time-only mode or six Grand Prix weekends in connected mode, according to the Foundation of Haute Horlogerie (FHH); the manufacturer’s listing does not state these durations |
The watches are therefore complementary in concept, but the available descriptions do not show exactly how they are assigned or used during a particular race procedure. Nor do they demonstrate that the connected features save time or improve team performance.
