The specifications below refer to Fratello’s reviewed Type 01 Silver and Type 02 Anthracite examples; Alcadus sells other colors in both designs.
How the Type 01 and Type 02 differ
The most useful distinction is the dial, not the underlying watch. Alcadus describes the Type 01 as sector-inspired, while the Type 02 pairs applied indices with a custom handset. In Fratello reviewer Dave Sergeant’s view, that makes the Type 01 the more classically charming and versatile option, and the Type 02 the more minimalist and dressy one. Those are aesthetic judgments, not performance differences.

The official Quantra collection includes additional colors beyond the two examples Fratello reviewed. The review’s dial descriptions and impressions are specific to the Type 01 Silver and Type 02 Anthracite.
Case, fit and everyday wear
Fratello reports a 36 mm case, 44 mm lug-to-lug length and 10.5 mm thickness for both reviewed watches. They have 20 mm lug widths, so a replacement strap should be 20 mm wide; check that any strap you choose also uses a compatible attachment. The included French leather straps have quick-release spring bars, according to the review.

The reported case is 316L stainless steel, with polished, brushed and bead-blasted or sandblasted elements. A box-style sapphire crystal has underside anti-reflective coating, and the screw-in display back is sapphire as well. These are review-reported specifications, not independent measurements.
Fratello says the watches came with three leather strap colors: black, gray and brown or tan. The 50 m (5 ATM) water-resistance rating and absence of lume, as reported in the review, point to a dress-oriented everyday watch rather than a dedicated dive watch. Water resistance is not a reason to treat the watch as suitable for diving.
Movement and what is—and isn’t—known about performance
Fratello identifies the caliber as a regulated Hangzhou 5015A automatic micro-rotor movement. The review lists manual winding, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 34 jewels and a stated 42-hour power reserve. It also describes Geneva striping, perlage, blue screws and a gold-tone rotor. These are specifications and finishing observations reported in the review; no independent movement test or measured accuracy result is established here, and the review gives no manufacturer accuracy tolerance.

The watches show the time and have a small-seconds display; the review does not describe additional complications. The display back lets the wearer see the movement, while the micro-rotor design is part of the appeal for someone who likes an automatic watch with a more visible mechanism.

Price, variants and buying terms
As accessed October 8, 2026, Alcadus’s official shop listings showed standard Type 01 and Type 02 variants at US$635. Fratello’s December 2024 review called US$635 the price at publication and described US$749 as an expected later retail price. The current shop listing and that earlier expectation are different dated price contexts; check the exact variant’s product page for today’s price and availability.
The official collection lists Type 01 Silver, Purple and Salmon, and Type 02 Aventurine, Anthracite and Sky Blue. The official newest-products page showed Type 01 Silver as out of stock when accessed October 8, 2026; inventory can change, so that snapshot does not establish present availability. Other newer Quantra gemstone and guilloché models are separate from the Type 01 and Type 02 watches discussed here.

Choose the Type 01 if you prefer a sector dial
The printed divisions and numerals give the Type 01 a more traditional, visually segmented appearance. It is the stronger fit if you want a dial with more structure and a character that the reviewer found charming without being too formal.

The Type 02’s applied indices and faceted dauphine-style hands make the face read more simply. Pick it if you want the dressier, more restrained look; the Anthracite version adds a vertically brushed dark surface and white minute track.

For either one, decide by appearance—not an alleged spec advantage
The reviewed examples share their principal case dimensions, movement and water-resistance rating. The evidence here does not establish a functional advantage for one over the other, so the dial is the soundest basis for choosing between them.
Review context
Fratello’s Dave Sergeant called the two watches “impressive watches that punch well above their weight class.” That is the reviewer’s conclusion from a hands-on account, not a measured performance claim.
