The Depancel × DAMS Lucas Oil Série R01 is a limited-edition automatic watch built around the racing team’s blue palette and a calendar display—not a chronograph. It pairs a squared 316L steel case with a Miyota 9122 movement and was announced for the 2026 season in a numbered run of 200. Here’s what its design, functions, dimensions, launch price and reported wrist fit mean for prospective buyers.
What makes this Série R01 a DAMS Lucas Oil collaboration?
Depancel and DAMS Lucas Oil announced the watch for the 2026 season. Its two-level dial uses the team’s deep- and light-blue palette, with vertical striations, a recessed sunray-finished center, calendar subdials, a date window and the DAMS Lucas Oil logo. Depancel says the hands take inspiration from automotive gauges and the indices use Super-LumiNova C1. Depancel’s product page and the team’s March 5, 2026 announcement describe the collaboration and edition.
The softened, squared case has beveling and alternating brushed and polished surfaces beneath a sapphire crystal. Depancel says the watch is designed and assembled in France. The team announcement calls it “Limited to 200 numbered pieces, this special edition will never be reproduced.” That is the brand’s stated plan, not evidence of resale scarcity or future market value.
Is it a chronograph?
No. The dial’s multiple indications may resemble chronograph registers, but the subdials show the day and month. The display comprises hours, minutes, central running seconds, day and month subdials, and a date window. It does not provide lap-timing chronograph functions.

Fratello Watches specifies 28,800 vibrations per hour, 26 jewels, manual winding and hacking seconds for the Miyota 9122. Straps and wrist fit
Fratello describes a blue perforated leather racing-style strap with contrasting stitching and a steel pin buckle; a blue FKM rubber option is also reported. The official product listing gives a 22 mm lug width, corroborated by Fratello’s case description and specifications. Monochrome Watches gives a conflicting 20 mm figure in its strap paragraph, so confirm the attachment and buckle dimensions with the seller before buying an aftermarket strap rather than assuming any nominally 22 mm strap will fit. Weppelink says the case sat well on his 18.5 cm wrist and that its softened rectangular form wore better than a sharper square case might. He also cautions that it may be too large for particularly small wrists. Those are one writer’s personal observations, not a guarantee of fit; the 50 mm lug-to-lug measurement is a useful dimension to compare with a watch you already wear comfortably.

At launch in March 2026, Fratello reported a price of €895, while Monochrome reported €895 and US$895. These are dated launch figures, not confirmation of a current offer or directly interchangeable regional prices. Depancel’s US product page currently lists the watch at $895 and labels it sold out; that storefront status does not establish whether another seller or resale channel has an example. Depancel’s product page states a five-year warranty from shipment, with exclusions including abnormal use, lack of care, negligence, accidents, incorrect use and failure to follow the brand’s directions. It also describes a 30-day withdrawal period after delivery and says returned goods must be sent within 14 days after notifying the company. These terms may depend on market and purchase channel, so confirm the applicable terms before ordering.
