The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm in 18K pink gold makes no attempt to disappear: its integrated gold bracelet and 42 mm case give it a bold presence. Thomas Van Straaten found that presence more appealing once the watch was on his wrist. His hands-on review focuses on the Sage Green dial (ref. 81010-52-3333-1CM); he also examined the Ultramarine Blue version (ref. 81010-52-436-BB4A), but did not wear it.
What the pink-gold Laureato offers
Girard-Perregaux dates the Laureato line to 1975. These two versions pair its shaped case and integrated bracelet with an 18K pink-gold construction and a patterned dial. The result sits at the intersection of sports-watch geometry and precious-metal conspicuousness: the gold is central to the watch’s character, not a discreet accent.

- GP Movement Caliber GP03300
- Water resistance depth: 100.0 meters

Movement and case details
Both versions use the self-winding GP01800. Girard-Perregaux specifies 191 parts, 28 jewels, and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz. Van Straaten identifies the caliber in the worn example as GP01800-0004 and reports 54 hours of autonomy in his September 2024 review. The watch has central seconds and a date display.
The 42 mm diameter and 10.68 mm thickness are manufacturer figures. Van Straaten gives the case length as 49.1 mm. The sapphire display back exposes the movement, while the 50 m water-resistance rating is a specification—not a claim that the watch is intended for every water activity.
How it feels and looks on the wrist
“The Girard-Perregaux Laureato in 18K pink gold surprised me,” Van Straaten wrote. The surprise was not that the watch is subtle: he found the gold case and bracelet conspicuous at first. Rather, wearing the Sage Green example softened that first impression for him. He praised the tactile finishing, the heft of the gold, and the case-and-bracelet profile’s ergonomics.
The dial’s hobnail, or Clous de Paris, pattern gives the face texture beyond its color. Girard-Perregaux says the dial can shift in appearance with the viewing angle, so the green or blue is not necessarily experienced as a single fixed-looking shade. Van Straaten wore the Sage Green model; the Ultramarine Blue example was on his desk, so his fit and wrist impressions do not constitute a hands-on comparison of both colors.

- Blue dial with a hobnail guilloche texture
Fit, bracelet sizing, and balance
Van Straaten reports a 17.5 cm wrist circumference. Sized to his wrist, the watch did not overhang, but he felt its visual balance was off after adjustment. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a rule about which wrist sizes can wear a 42 mm Laureato: case length, wrist shape, bracelet fit, and individual taste all affect the result.
The integrated 18K pink-gold H-link bracelet closes with a butterfly clasp. Van Straaten notes that the clasp adjustment is limited to half links. That can matter when sizing: a bracelet that fits between available link increments may not offer the fine adjustment some wearers want.
Rank #4
- Girard Perregaux caliber GP03300, beats at 28,800 vph (4Hz), composed out of 419 parts, contains 63 Jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 46 hours.
- Power reserve: Min. 46 hours
Choosing Sage Green or Ultramarine Blue
The core watch—case dimensions, precious-metal construction, movement family, and bracelet design—is shared. The decision is principally about dial color and the reference-specific price shown on the manufacturer’s US pages:
- Sage Green, ref. 81010-52-3333-1CM: listed at $54,500 on October 7, 2026. Choose it if the green dial is the color you prefer; it is the version Van Straaten wore.
- Ultramarine Blue, ref. 81010-52-436-BB4A: listed at $37,200 on October 7, 2026. Choose it if blue is more appealing, while keeping in mind that Van Straaten examined this example on a desk rather than wearing it.
The difference between those listed prices is substantial. The available evidence establishes the two page prices on that date, but not why they differ or what either watch will cost through a retailer. Confirm the exact reference and current terms directly with Girard-Perregaux before making a purchase decision.

Who is this Laureato for?
This is for someone who actively wants the heft and visibility of an all-gold integrated-bracelet sports watch, and values the Laureato’s finishing and textured dial enough to welcome that presence. Van Straaten’s experience suggests that the watch can feel more considered once worn than it appears at first glance, but his positive reaction is personal rather than a guarantee of fit or taste. Anyone uncertain about its scale or bracelet balance should try the exact reference on, ideally after sizing.
