Which Rolex watches were new for 2022?
The four references in the launch overview were the Air-King 126900, GMT-Master II 126720VTNR, Yacht-Master 42 226658 and Day-Date 40 228236. They differ not only in case metal and dial design, but also in how each watch is configured on the wrist.

What changed on the Air-King 126900?
The Air-King kept a familiar overall identity, but its case and dial were substantially revised. The case has sharper, straighter lugs and case bands, a thinner bezel, and new crown protection. The larger dial carries luminous applied markers, a newly added “05” numeral, and thinner printing. The watch uses calibre 3230 and an Oyster bracelet with Rolex’s Easylink comfort extension, as reported in the 2022 overview.
What is the green-and-black Rolex GMT called?
The left-crown green-and-black GMT-Master II is reference 126720VTNR. Its two-tone ceramic bezel is a bidirectional 24-hour bezel, and the Oystersteel watch was presented with either a Jubilee or Oyster bracelet. The crown sits on the left side of the case; the report notes that this arrangement required changes to the movement, particularly the date mechanism. The overview does not state a calibre number.

What was distinctive about the 2022 Yacht-Master 42?
Reference 226658 brought yellow gold to the 42 mm Yacht-Master line. The model had been introduced in white gold in 2019, according to the overview. Its gold case and yellow-gold hands are paired with oversized dial markers, a matte ceramic bezel with raised polished numerals, and an Oysterflex bracelet. The source does not give a calibre number for this reference.
What changed on the platinum Day-Date 40?
Reference 228236 pairs the Day-Date 40’s platinum case and President bracelet with the collection’s ice-blue dial. Its notable exterior change was a fluted platinum bezel, described in the 2022 overview as a first for a platinum Rolex in the collection. Applied Roman numerals and dark-blue accents complete the dial. The reported movement is calibre 3255.

What does this first look establish—and what does it not?
The overview is useful for identifying the four references and their visible 2022 design changes, bracelet configurations and the two calibre numbers it names.
