What is the ADPT Series 1 watch?
ADPT—short for All Day, Purpose, and Terrain, and pronounced “adapt”—introduced the Series 1 in a September 29, 2022 launch announcement. The watches were developed with BOLDR Supply Co. around a BOLDR field-watch format. ADPT positioned the design as a colorful, multipurpose sports watch inspired by outdoor gear. The Series 1’s defining feature is its layered, high-contrast dial rather than a complication-heavy display. A textured grid or waffle-like surface sits beneath applied luminous markers and a contrasting chapter ring and crosshair. The date appears at six o’clock, with a specially treated date wheel for dates 20–31 intended to make the numerals easier to read in the small window.
A titanium bezel carries an anodized aluminum insert with a 12-hour scale and minute graduations. It rotates bidirectionally and uses a friction fit rather than click detents, according to the launch announcement. The 12-hour scale can be used to track elapsed time or follow a second time zone by aligning it with the hour hand; it does not make the watch a GMT, and the sources do not identify a dedicated GMT movement.

Is the ADPT Series 1 a BOLDR watch?
It is an ADPT-branded watch developed with BOLDR Supply Co., not simply a BOLDR-branded model. The launch announcement says the project used a BOLDR field-watch format. That distinction matters if you are comparing brand identity or looking for the watch under a retailer’s BOLDR catalog.

The movement naming differs between the two sources, so it is most accurate to call it an NH35-family automatic and retain each source’s designation when being more specific. Fratello’s stated power reserve and other movement figures are its reported specifications, not a guarantee of a particular watch’s timekeeping or condition. These are palette distinctions, not documented differences in movement or case dimensions: the cited sources do not establish different performance specifications among the four original versions. Fratello’s Jorg Weppelink reviewed Carbon and Harvest, describing the watches as playful in appearance and noting their compact proportions and light titanium feel. He considered the colors better suited to casual or colorful wardrobes than conservative tastes; those are his impressions from the review, not a separate wear test.
How big is the ADPT Series 1?
The case measures 38 mm across, with Fratello reporting a 44 mm lug-to-lug length and 13.5 mm thickness. Those dimensions make it a relatively compact watch on paper, though wrist fit also depends on wrist shape, strap stiffness and personal preference. The titanium construction was described as light by Fratello’s reviewer.

The launch announcement names a Seiko NH35 automatic movement, while Fratello’s review calls it the NH35A. Fratello lists the NH35A at 21,600 vph, with 24 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve. These figures describe the movement as reported by that review; they do not promise accuracy or reliability for every individual watch.

What strap fits the ADPT Series 1?
Fratello reports 20 mm lug spacing, so 20 mm straps are the appropriate starting category when looking for a replacement. The original watch was supplied on an ADPT nylon strap, identified in the launch announcement as a custom Mil-Straps strap. Check the replacement strap’s thickness and width at the hardware, as well as whether its keepers and buckle fit comfortably, before buying; lug width alone does not establish compatibility with every strap design.
Price and availability
The Series 1 was announced at $449 per watch in 2022, and Fratello also reported a US$449 price in its December 2022 review. That is launch-era pricing only. Current price, stock and continued availability of Petrol, Carbon, Terra and Harvest are not established by those sources, so check current retailer or brand listings before treating any listing or price as active.
