The Fleux FLX003 is a vintage-inspired skin diver built around the look of the Omega Seamaster 300 “Big Triangle” ref. 165.024, but it is an interpretation rather than a reproduction. Its broad-arrow hour hand and bidirectional countdown bezel give it a distinct identity, while a 38 mm case, Seiko NH38A automatic movement and 200 m water-resistance rating make up the practical core.
What is the Fleux FLX003?
The FLX003 is Fleux’s take on a compact, vintage-style dive watch. The company says the Omega Seamaster 300 “Big Triangle” ref. 165.024 was its design inspiration. Fleux describes its aim as preserving the essence of that watch while making changes, chief among them broad-arrow hands. That is the brand’s characterization of its own design, not evidence that the FLX003 is an Omega-made watch or a replica. Fleux’s launch article sets out that lineage.
The broad-arrow hour hand is the most obvious visual departure. The other is the bezel: rather than the elapsed-time scale commonly associated with dive watches, the FLX003 uses a bidirectional countdown bezel. Independent reviewers also point to those features as differentiators from the Seamaster 300 reference. Fratello and Worn & Wound both frame the watch as design-led rather than a pure specification-per-dollar proposition.
What are the FLX003’s dimensions and movement?
Fratello lists the FLX003 at 38 mm across the case without the bezel, or 39 mm including it. Its 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement is a useful counterpoint to the diameter when estimating how it may sit on a wrist. The listed thickness is 14 mm including the domed crystal and 12 mm without it; lug width is 20 mm. Worn & Wound independently gives the dimensions as 38 × 47 mm. These are review-published specifications, not measurements from this article’s own inspection.

Fleux specifies a 316L stainless-steel case, Seiko Instruments NH38A movement and milled aluminum bezel insert. Fratello identifies the movement as an SII NH38A and describes a screw-in case back. The company’s statement that the movement is made in Japan should be understood as a Fleux specification claim rather than independently verified manufacturing provenance.
Crystal terminology differs between the reviews: Fratello calls it double-domed acrylic, while Worn & Wound describes it as Hesalite. Both descriptions point to a plastic crystal rather than sapphire. Acrylic can suit the watch’s vintage character, but it does not offer the same scratch resistance as sapphire; the trade-off is worth weighing if surface marks are a concern.

How do the bezel and strap affect everyday use?
The bidirectional bezel is marked for countdown timing. That makes it useful for tracking time remaining—for example, a cooking interval or a meeting—rather than reading elapsed time from a conventional dive-watch scale. Fratello describes the bezel as friction-fit and bidirectional; it is not a unidirectional dive bezel. The watch’s 200 m rating is a published specification, not a guarantee that a particular used or damaged watch remains water-tight. Follow the maker’s guidance and have seals checked if water use matters.
Fratello says the supplied strap is a 20 mm SeaQual strap made from recycled ocean plastic and fitted with quick-release spring bars. Quick release makes strap changes easier, and the 20 mm lug width opens up many replacement options. Width alone does not guarantee compatibility: check the strap-end shape, thickness and spring-bar arrangement before buying a substitute.

How might the FLX003 wear?
The 38 mm case diameter suggests compact proportions, but lug-to-lug length and crystal height also affect how a watch wears. Fratello’s reviewer reported comfortable wear on a 16.5 cm (6.5-inch) wrist; that is one reviewer’s experience, not a fit guarantee. If possible, compare the 47 mm lug-to-lug span and 14 mm overall thickness with a watch you already find comfortable.
For someone drawn to vintage dive-watch styling, the case size, domed crystal and broad-arrow handset are central to the FLX003’s appeal. For someone choosing mainly by materials or specifications, the acrylic crystal, aluminum insert and relatively modest movement specification may make other watches more compelling. The FLX003’s strongest case is its particular design combination, rather than an attempt to lead on every component.

What does the FLX003 cost?
Fleux’s official storefront search result showed a price of US$399, with US$499 struck through, on October 8, 2026. That is a dated listing observation, not a promise of the price or stock at the time you read this; check the official FLX003 listing for current terms. Fratello and Worn & Wound each quoted US$499 in their 2024 reviews, which is historical context rather than a current price.
