The MING 57.04 Iris is a 40 mm, left-crown hand-wound monopusher chronograph released in August 2025. Its standout feature is a deeply dished dial whose coated brass surface shifts through purple, pink, blue and turquoise tones as the light and viewing angle change. The 100-piece launch edition was priced at CHF 6,250; MING currently lists the watch as sold out.
What is the MING 57.04 Iris?
MING introduced the 57.04 Iris in August 2025 as an eighth-anniversary release and the first destro watch in its fifth-generation design language. “Destro” means the crown and chronograph pusher are on the left side of the case. The Iris combines that layout with a sculptural dial, a multi-piece steel case and a hand-wound monopusher chronograph.
MING’s product page lists the model as sold out and offers registration for future availability alerts. Its launch specifications and current listing status are on the official MING product page.
How do the dial and case look?
A dial that changes with the light
The dial starts with a machined brass base and a multiphasic coating. MING describes its color as moving among turquoise, purple and shades of blue. In Fratello’s August 25, 2025 hands-on account, the dial looked purple or pink when viewed head-on, with green and blue emerging at different angles. These are changing reflections, not separate fixed dial colors.

The dial is deeply dished and fluted, giving the color effect a pronounced surface to play across. Laser-cut indices in the upper sapphire crystal are filled with MING’s Polar White luminous material. The blue-coated, diamond-cut hands use Super-LumiNova X1.
Layered, stepped lugs
The 316L stainless-steel case takes a modern Art Deco direction, with stepped lugs made from nine separate pieces, according to MING. Polished and brushed surfaces emphasize the nested, three-level construction. Fratello also describes the layered lugs and alternating finishes in its hands-on coverage.

The watch measures 40 mm in diameter, 47.8 mm from lug to lug and 11.85 mm thick. It has sapphire crystals on the front and back, both with double-sided antireflective coating, and a 20 mm lug width. MING rates it to 100 m water resistance.
How does the monopusher chronograph work?
The Iris uses one pusher to operate the chronograph rather than separate start, stop and reset pushers. The pusher sits alongside the crown on the left side of the case. MING says this destro arrangement allowed it to use a larger crown and pusher without concern about interference with the wearer’s wrist.

Inside is the Sellita for MING SW562.M1, a hand-wound monopusher chronograph configured for the brand. The chronograph has a central seconds hand and a 30-minute counter at six o’clock. MING gives an approximate 60-hour power reserve when fully wound. Through the sapphire caseback, the movement shows an anthracite mainplate and contrasting 4N-coated three-quarter plate.
The six o’clock counter uses sandwich construction and Super-LumiNova X1. In Fratello’s account, the counter slot was difficult to read on the prototype, and the production slot was planned to be thicker. That is a reviewer’s observation about a prototype, not a measured finding about every production watch.

What did it cost, and can you buy one now?
Fratello’s August 25, 2025 launch report stated that the edition was limited to 100 watches, priced at CHF 6,250, with availability beginning August 26, 2025. Those are original launch details, not a current price or a claim about today’s stock.
MING currently marks the watch sold out. An Ace Jewelers listing identifies the model, but its presence does not establish that a watch is available now. Check directly with a seller for live inventory and pricing; no current secondary-market price is established here.

MING specifies a 20 mm lug width and says the original package included both a bracelet and a goat strap. An alternative 20 mm strap may be an option, but confirm its attachment compatibility with the Iris before buying; no third-party strap has been tested or endorsed here.
