The 2023 Cuervo y Sobrinos Buceador Caribe update introduced three colourways: navy blue (2860.1BL), light blue (2860.1LB) and black DLC (2860.3NY). Their reported core specifications remain the same: a 43 mm case, 200 m water resistance, an internal rotating dive bezel and the CYS 8126 automatic movement. The update is chiefly about colour and finish, rather than a change to the watch’s underlying specification.
What are the three new Buceador Caribe colours?
Rebecca Doulton’s 15 May 2023 report for Monochrome Watches describes the colours as inspired by the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico and the North Atlantic around Cuba. The article attributes a coastline length of 5,745 km to Cuba.

Across the three references, the report also lists luminous indices and hands, a luminous pip at noon, a date window at 6 o’clock and the Cuervo y Sobrinos coat of arms at noon.
How the case and internal bezel work
The case is reported as 43 mm across and 15.8 mm thick, with a domed sapphire crystal, a screwed solid-steel caseback and 200 m water resistance. Its shape combines an octagonal case, a raised round bezel and a dodecagonal caseback.

The internal rotating bezel is controlled by the crown at 2 o’clock. A pusher at 4 o’clock unlocks that crown; the crown at 9 o’clock is used to set the time and wind the movement. That arrangement separates bezel operation from time-setting and winding.
What movement is inside?
The CYS 8126 is an automatic movement based on the Soprod P024. The 2023 technical listing gives it 25 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 38-hour power reserve, with hours, minutes, seconds and date functions. Doulton’s article characterizes the P024 as comparable to the ETA 2824; that is the article’s comparison, not an independent assessment here.

What did the Buceador Caribe cost at launch?
Monochrome Watches reported launch prices on 15 May 2023 of CHF 3,000 excluding VAT for versions with rubber and calfskin straps, and CHF 3,100 excluding VAT for versions with the Milanese bracelet. Those are historical figures, not current quotes. The article advised readers to contact Cuervo y Sobrinos about delivery times; it does not establish current prices, stock, production status or availability through retailers in any particular region.
