What is the Rolex GMT-Master II “Destro”?
Reference 126720VTNR is a 40 mm Oystersteel GMT-Master II with a black dial and a two-colour green-and-black Cerachrom ceramic bezel. Rolex introduced this configuration in 2022: the winding crown and crown guards sit on the left side of the case, while the date aperture is at 9 o’clock. “Destro” describes this left-side crown arrangement.
Rolex’s official product page lists the case, dial, bezel, movement and other features. Its technical brochure gives the water-resistance and accuracy specifications.
How the GMT function works
The GMT-Master II is designed to display two time zones simultaneously. Its arrow-tipped 24-hour hand circles the dial once per day, while the bidirectional bezel’s 24-hour scale lets the wearer track another time zone. The independently rapid-setting hour hand can be adjusted without stopping the watch; Rolex also lists an instantaneous date and stop-seconds.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of an individual watch.
What changes with the left-side crown?
The reversed layout moves both the crown and date away from their familiar positions on many watches: the crown is on the left, and the date sits opposite at 9 o’clock. This is a meaningful visual and handling distinction, but it does not change the listed case dimensions or movement. Fratello’s hands-on coverage says the model shares dimensions and movement with other GMT-Master II versions.

The practical feel depends on the wearer. In Hodinkee’s hands-on account, the reviewer said winding and setting with the left hand required adjustment. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a universal verdict about comfort or suitability for left- or right-handed wearers.
