The RZE Fortitude GMT-S is a 41mm titanium travel watch distinguished by its new blue or gray sunburst dial. Its practical core is the Miyota 9075 flyer GMT, paired with a 47mm lug-to-lug case, 100m water resistance and a lightweight titanium bracelet. Fratello reported a US$679 launch price in September 2024, excluding taxes; that is historical pricing, not a current quote, and the available listing information does not confirm present GMT-S stock.
What changed on the Fortitude GMT-S?
The defining change is the dial: the GMT-S arrived in blue and gray sunburst versions, adding a shifting, reflective finish to the Fortitude GMT design. In his September 26, 2024 hands-on review, Fratello’s Daan de Groot considered the new presentation more sophisticated than the predecessor. That is a reviewer’s interpretation; RZE has not established in the cited material that the “S” officially stands for “sunburst” or “sophisticated.” Fratello’s Fortitude GMT-S review describes the launch variants and design.
De Groot preferred the gray dial with ochre accents, while finding the blue particularly vivid. He also praised the applied logo and markers, framed date at six, angled bezel knurling and large crown. These are his aesthetic impressions, not objective performance claims.
How does the GMT work for travel?
The watch uses the Miyota 9075 automatic flyer-style GMT. A flyer, or traveler, GMT lets you adjust the local 12-hour hand independently in one-hour jumps while the 24-hour hand continues to track a second time zone. This is useful when crossing time zones: reset local time without losing the reference time shown by the 24-hour hand. The Miyota 9075 also supports hand-winding and hacking, which stops the seconds hand when setting the time.

Fratello lists the movement at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with 24 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve; Miyota’s own specification sheet confirms the 28,800-beat rate and 42-hour reserve. The review gives a stated accuracy range of -10 to +30 seconds per day. That range is a specification, not a measured result for an individual GMT-S. Miyota’s 9075 specification provides the manufacturer’s movement details.

How might it wear?
The 41mm diameter and 47mm lug-to-lug length give a useful starting point for judging fit, but wrist shape and preference matter as much as diameter. De Groot reported that the watch sat comfortably on his 17cm wrist, crediting its reduced weight. That is one reviewer’s fit observation, not a guarantee for other wrists.

The titanium case and bracelet keep the watch light on the wrist compared with a similarly sized steel construction, while the satin finish gives the case and bracelet a mostly brushed appearance. The bracelet tapers from 20mm at the case to 16mm at the clasp. Fratello reports quick-release spring bars and tool-free micro-adjustment, features that make strap changes and small fit adjustments easier without a tool.
What do the launch price and availability tell you now?
Fratello listed the GMT-S at US$679 excluding taxes when it was introduced in September 2024, with shipping expected to begin October 10, 2024. That launch information does not establish today’s price or whether a particular color is available.

The GMT-S is worth considering if you want an automatic travel GMT with an independently adjustable local hour hand, a titanium case and bracelet, and a dial with more visual texture than a flat finish. Its published dimensions, 100m water resistance and bracelet adjustment features are concrete points to compare against other watches; the available sources do not provide aligned competitor data to support a claim that it is the best or best-value option.
