Its glossy lacquered step dial, black details and red Speedmaster lettering give the classic layout a brighter, more graphic character. The three versions announced in March 2024 pair that dial with a steel bracelet, black rubber strap or perforated black leather strap.
What changes on the white-dial Moonwatch?
Omega announced the white-dial Moonwatch Professional on 5 March 2024. The 42 mm stainless-steel case and aluminum tachymeter bezel frame a glossy lacquered white step dial, black detailing and applied indexes. Omega said it was the first time the Moonwatch step dial had received a glossy lacquer finish. The brand described the white face as its “most distinctive feature.” Omega’s launch announcement
Omega says the white-and-black palette takes inspiration from astronaut spacesuits, particularly those worn during extravehicular activity. It also connects the dial to the 1969 Alaska I prototype and says the red Speedmaster lettering recalls that prototype’s protective red case. Those are Omega’s stated design references; they do not mean this new watch is a reproduction of a mission instrument. Omega’s launch announcement
How does it look and wear in person?
In his 5 March 2024 hands-on review, Fratello’s Robert-Jan Broer says the lacquered stepped dial and recessed subdials, with their circular finishing, give the face depth. He also finds the white version can look slightly larger on the wrist than the black-dial Moonwatch, while noting the dimensions are unchanged. That perceived size is an individual visual impression, not a difference in case measurements. Fratello’s hands-on review

#1 Best Overall
Broer’s verdict is enthusiastic: he calls it an “incredibly welcome and cool addition” to the Moonwatch family and says the stepped dial has a pleasing softness compared with flat white dials. That is one reviewer’s response; whether the contrast and glossy finish work for you is best judged alongside the familiar black-dial version, if you can see both in person.
Reported dimensions and weight
Fratello reports a 47.5 mm lug-to-lug length and 13.18 mm thickness. The review lists weights of 92.6 g on a strap and 139.8 g on the bracelet. These measurements can help with fit expectations, but wrist shape and strap choice still affect how a watch feels. Fratello’s hands-on review

Configurations and reference numbers
The three launch configurations share the white dial and case but differ in their supplied strap or bracelet:
| Reference | Configuration |
|---|---|
| 310.30.42.50.04.001 | Stainless-steel bracelet |
| 310.32.42.50.04.002 | Black rubber strap |
| 310.32.42.50.04.001 | Black perforated leather strap |
Omega describes the bracelet as five arched links per row. Its launch announcement says the leather strap is micro-perforated with red and white stitching, while the rubber strap has a relief pattern on its underside. The listed references identify the launch variants; confirm strap compatibility and availability with Omega or a retailer before ordering an alternate strap. Movement and technical specifications
The watch uses Omega’s hand-wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. Fratello reports a sapphire crystal on the front and caseback, a 50-hour power reserve, antimagnetism to 15,000 gauss, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, 26 jewels and water resistance of 5 bar (50 m). These are published specifications, not independent test results. Omega’s movement identification Fratello’s specifications
Time and Watches reports an average accuracy specification of +5/0 seconds per day and explains that the minute track’s three divisions correspond to the movement’s 3 Hz frequency. This, too, is reported information rather than a guarantee of an individual watch’s observed daily rate. Time and Watches’ technical coverage

What did it cost at launch?
The following are reported March 2024 launch prices, not current prices. Fratello listed the bracelet version at US$8,100, €9,000 or CHF 7,700, and each strap version at US$7,800, €8,600 or CHF 7,400. Time and Watches also reported US$8,100 excluding local sales taxes for the bracelet and US$7,800 excluding local sales taxes for strap versions, but gave different euro figures: €9,100 including VAT for the bracelet and €8,700 including VAT for the strap versions. Because the euro reports differ and use stated tax bases, they should not be collapsed into a single launch figure. Fratello’s March 2024 pricing Time and Watches’ March 2024 pricing

How to decide between white and black
The meaningful choice is primarily visual and practical: compare the dial treatment in person, decide whether you prefer a bracelet or strap, and check how the stated dimensions sit on your wrist. The white dial is glossy and high-contrast; the black-dial version retains the familiar Moonwatch appearance. The launch sources establish the white watch’s shared 42 mm case and three supplied configurations, but not an objective sizing advantage or current price comparison.
