The right disc shows running seconds; the left counts elapsed chronograph minutes to 30. It pairs that design with a Seiko NE86 automatic chronograph movement and a 39 mm hardened-steel case.
How the rotating-disc chronograph works
Instead of small hands, each subdial uses a transparent printed disc that rotates above red index lines. The right-hand register indicates the watch’s running seconds. The left-hand register counts elapsed minutes when the chronograph is operating, up to 30 minutes. A red central hand tracks chronograph seconds.
The reading method is different from a conventional chronograph and may take some adjustment. Griffin Bartsch, writing for Hodinkee after nearly six months with his example, said the display became more legible to him than many other chronographs. Jorg Weppelink at Fratello found it practical in use, though he personally prefers traditional registers.
Movement: Seiko NE86 automatic chronograph
The watch uses Seiko’s NE86, an automatic chronograph caliber with a column wheel and vertical clutch. In practical terms, those are components of the mechanism that controls chronograph operation and engagement; they are part of the movement architecture, not a guarantee of a particular level of accuracy or feel.

Fratello lists a 45-hour power reserve, 34 jewels and a beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Hodinkee reports the movement’s stated accuracy as −15/+25 seconds per day. That is a movement specification, not a guaranteed whole-watch result: Bartsch said his own sample performed better, but that observation applies to his watch alone.
What sets the Tungsten Gray version apart
The Tungsten Gray model has a warm gray tungsten bezel insert. The Arctic White sibling pairs its lighter dial with a black ceramic bezel. Both reviews describe a tachymeter scale spanning 50–200 units per hour, a range that begins at a lower speed than many conventional tachymeter scales.

- Fully Functional Chronograph: Three active subdials indicate 1/10-second timing, seconds and minutes-not decorative dials. Use the side pushers to start, stop and reset the chronograph, while the date window adds practical daily function
- Bold 47mm Tonneau Design: The 47mm barrel-shaped case, layered multi-dial face and contrasting accents create a bold, high-tech look that stands out on the wrist. Multiple color combinations complement casual, business and evening outfits
- Reliable Quartz Construction: A dependable quartz movement delivers accurate analog timekeeping. Mineral glass helps protect the detailed dial, while the stainless steel case provides a solid feel and lasting structure for everyday wear
- Large Statement Fit: Designed for men who prefer a substantial watch: 47mm case diameter, 15mm thickness, 102g weight, 25mm strap width and 240mm strap length. Please review the measurements before ordering for the best fit
- Rubber Strap and 3ATM Water Resistance: The flexible rubber strap and buckle provide an adjustable, secure fit for daily wear. 3ATM water resistance handles splashes and light rain; avoid swimming, showering, diving or using the pushers underwater
The reviewed design also includes a date, squared-off chronograph pushers beside a screw-down crown, and the red central chronograph-seconds hand. The Tungsten Gray’s gray bezel insert is its clearest visual distinction from the Arctic White version.

How it may wear
At 39 mm across, the case is compact by many contemporary chronograph standards, but lug-to-lug measurements vary by source: Fratello lists 46.5 mm, while Bartsch measured 45.7 mm. That distinction matters if your wrist fit is sensitive to lug span. Thickness is listed at 13.75 mm, so this is not an especially thin watch despite its moderate diameter.

Both reviewers found the watch comfortable. Bartsch praised its compact feel and bracelet drape after regular wear. Weppelink, who wore it for a few days, described it as comfortable and well proportioned. Bartsch also reported that his example showed little visible wear after nearly six months of heavy use; this is a personal observation, not a controlled abrasion test. The reported 1200 HV hardening figure is likewise a published specification rather than a test performed by the reviewer.
What the hands-on reviews found
Hodinkee: extended wear
Bartsch wore the watch regularly for nearly six months and praised the compact feel, bracelet drape and crisp pushers. His specific caveat was a slight shudder in the running-seconds disc when starting or stopping the chronograph. He summed up his experience: “After nearly six months on the wrist, I can’t say enough about Traska’s first chronograph.”

Fratello: a shorter trial
Weppelink wore the watch for a few days. He praised its finishing, comfort and straightforward chronograph operation, and said the disc display did not get in the way of practical use. His preference for traditional registers offers a useful counterpoint: the unusual display is a design choice, not an automatic improvement for every wearer.

The two 2026 reviews do not agree on the launch-era price. Hodinkee gives US$1,650. Hodinkee’s review also compared the watch with the Baltic Scalegraph at roughly US$1,900 depending on configuration, the Timex Atelier Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti at US$2,100 on a strap, and the higher-priced Oak & Oscar Atwood. These are review-era comparisons, not verified current quotes, and they do not determine which watch is the better value for an individual buyer.
