The Beaubleu Union is a 2020 collection built around an unconventional circular handset: separate circles indicate seconds, minutes and hours. Its six original models were split between the Left Bank and Right Bank lines. The design is striking, but the unusual display takes some learning; the available hands-on review also noted specific comfort and winding trade-offs. Here’s how the layout works, what the original models were, and what the current official Intrepide Blue listing actually confirms.
What is the Beaubleu Union collection?
Union is a Beaubleu collection introduced in 2020, not simply a current catalog range. Beaubleu’s archive labels it as a 2020 collection, and Fratello’s May 8, 2020 review describes six original models grouped into two design families. That lineup is useful for understanding the collection’s history, but it does not establish that every variant is still available.

The most important difference between Union and a conventional analog watch is its signature circular handset. That display is easier to understand once you know which circle follows which track.
How do the circular hands tell the time?
Fratello’s Jorg Weppelink describes three circular indicators of different sizes: the largest marks seconds, the middle-sized circle marks minutes, and the smallest marks hours. The hour indication follows the inner dial track; the minute indication follows the outer track. Read the smaller circle against the inner track for the hour, then use the middle circle and outer track for the minutes. The largest circle adds the seconds indication.

This is not an instant-read layout for everyone. In his 2020 review of an Olympe and a Brio Emerald Green, Weppelink said the display took practice and could be less practical when he needed to read the time quickly. He also wrote, “Once you know what to look for, it does become more comfortable to read the time.” Those are his impressions of the two examples he handled, not a controlled test or a claim about every wearer.
Blue hands and dial contrast
Beaubleu’s own Union editorial discusses blued hands on models including Olympe and Intrepide. The brand presents the blue reflections as a visual contrast that may remain discreet at first glance. It also describes flame bluing as a historical process in which steel is heated to create a blue color and reduce susceptibility to corrosion. That technical explanation is Beaubleu’s account; it is not independently established here.

What the official Intrepide Blue listing specifies
Beaubleu’s official Intrepide Blue product page gives a representative set of specifications, but they apply to that model’s page—not automatically to every original Union variant. The page describes the watch as a limited edition and, as observed October 8, 2026, displays “Out of stock.” Stock can change, and that listing does not establish the status of other Union models or sellers.

The accuracy range is Beaubleu’s stated specification, not a result from an independent test. The page also says, “Beaubleu creations are entirely imagined, designed and assembled in Paris,” and describes a watchmaking workshop that services watches.

What the 2020 hands-on review found in wear
Weppelink’s Fratello review, published May 8, 2020, covered an Olympe from Left Bank and a Brio Emerald Green from Right Bank. He reported that they wore comfortably on his wrist. He found the sharp-edged crown uncomfortable to use for hand winding and identified the folding clasp and straps as areas for improvement. These are dated, individual impressions of those two examples; they do not establish how every owner will find the watches or whether later production changed those details.

- Confirm the model and condition. Match the dial, case finish and handset to the named variant, especially for a pre-owned listing.
- Check current inventory and price. Beaubleu’s Intrepide Blue page showed out of stock on October 8, 2026; the status of other models and sellers may differ.
- Assess legibility in person if quick reading matters. The circular indicators are distinctive, but Weppelink said the layout took practice in his 2020 review.
- Consider wrist fit. The Intrepide Blue’s stated 39 mm diameter and 9.5 mm thickness are a useful reference for that model only, not confirmed dimensions for all six originals.
- Match water resistance to use. The Intrepide Blue page states 5 ATM; do not assume that rating applies to other Union models.
- Verify strap compatibility. A 20 mm strap is a reasonable search term for the Intrepide Blue because Beaubleu lists a 20 mm lug width and interchangeable straps. Before ordering a third-party strap, confirm the case interface and clasp you want; no specific aftermarket strap fit is established here.
Fratello gave a €620 pre-order price and a subsequent €790 Beaubleu price for the Olympe and Brio in 2020. These are historical figures, not current pricing. No current Intrepide Blue price is established here, so check with Beaubleu or a verified seller for current terms.
