The Beaucroft Element 39.5 is an automatic steel sports watch with compact listed dimensions, 200 m water resistance and a Miyota 9039 movement. In a two-week hands-on review published by Fratello on November 6, 2024, Vincent Deschamps found it hefty on the wrist but praised its layered dial, bracelet and adjustment clasp. Those observations are one reviewer’s experience—not a guarantee of fit or proof of independently tested performance.
What the Beaucroft Element is
Beaucroft positions the Element 39.5 as an everyday sports watch: a blend of dressier finishing and tool-watch cues. Co-founder Karim Faisali describes the goal as “a one watch collection, a perfect blend of sport and sophistication.” That is an expression of design intent, not a measurable performance category; “GADA” is best read the same way.
Fratello’s November 2024 review covered the Element after two weeks with it. The six colourways described at launch were Forest Green, Gin & Tonic, Glacial Blue, Obsidian Black, Ocean Blue and Sunset Orange. Beaucroft’s collection page now shows Temper Red, Forest Green, Ocean Blue, Sunset Orange, Rebel Black, Obsidian Black and G&T, so launch names and the current assortment are not identical. See the official Beaucroft collection page for live variant and availability details.
How it looks on the wrist
A layered, light-catching dial
Fratello describes a three-level dial with a sunburst finish, applied faceted indices and faceted hands. The review also notes BGW9 lume. The combination gives the face depth and reflective surfaces rather than the plain, flat look of a basic tool dial. Colour and contrast will affect legibility and personality; those are visual judgments, not standardized performance measurements.

Bracelet and fit
The three-row steel bracelet is designed to look integrated with the case and tapers from 20 mm to 16 mm, according to the review. Deschamps highlights an on-the-fly micro-adjustment clasp, useful for changing bracelet fit without removing links. Beaucroft’s current page also lists the 20-to-16 mm taper and quick-release pins.
For scale, Deschamps reports that his sized watch weighed 132 g on his 16.5 cm wrist and felt hefty. That is a single reviewer’s report, not a prediction for every wrist; bracelet sizing and individual fit can change the experience. The listed 46.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement is particularly useful to compare against a watch you already find comfortable.

Specifications reported for the Element 39.5
The figures below are those reported by Fratello in November 2024, except where the current Beaucroft page is noted. They are product specifications, not results from an independent test.
| Specification | Reported detail |
|---|---|
| Case | 39.5 mm diameter; 46.5 mm lug-to-lug; 11.6 mm thick including crystal (Fratello, 2024; dimensions also listed by Beaucroft) |
| Movement | Miyota 9039 automatic, with manual winding and hacking (Fratello, 2024) |
| Frequency and jewels | 28,800 vibrations per hour; 24 jewels (Fratello, 2024) |
| Power reserve | 42 hours (Fratello, 2024) |
| Regulation | Fratello reports that UK assembly partner Horologium regulated the movement to ±10 seconds per day; Beaucroft’s current page also states +/-10 seconds per day |
| Water resistance | 20 ATM / 200 m, as listed by Fratello (2024) |
| Case and crystal | Hardened steel case, screw-in case back, screw-down crown and double-domed sapphire crystal (Fratello, 2024) |
| Bracelet | Three-row steel bracelet, 20 mm tapering to 16 mm, with on-the-fly adjustment (Fratello, 2024); current Beaucroft page also notes quick-release pins |
The 200 m rating and screw-down crown are relevant specifications for water-oriented use, but neither the review nor the listed figures establish independent water-resistance testing. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for care and servicing, and have seals checked when appropriate rather than treating a rating as a permanent guarantee.
