Beda’a’s Angles Mecaline brings a hand-wound mechanical movement to the brand’s angular Angles design, which had previously appeared in quartz form. In a 2025 hands-on review, Jorg Weppelink described its stepped 37 mm case and exceptionally slim 6 mm profile as comfortable on his 18.5 cm wrist. The standard black and warm-gray models pair that compact shape with restrained dials and small seconds.
What is the Beda’a Angles Mecaline?
The Angles Mecaline is the mechanical version of Beda’a’s Angles watch, following quartz models in the collection. The regular versions reviewed in 2025 came with either a glossy black dial or a warm-gray dial. Compared with the quartz Angles dials, the Mecaline drops the Roman numerals and 60-minute track, leaving a quieter face with hours, minutes and a small-seconds register.
Weppelink’s October 2, 2025 Fratello review notes polished dauphine hands and a railroad-style track in the seconds register. It describes the black dial’s small-seconds subdial as circular-finished and the warm-gray version’s as semi-matte sunray-finished.
How is the case designed?
The case is reported at 37 mm in diameter, 34 mm long without lugs and 6 mm thick, with 19 mm between the lugs. The review describes a symmetrical, angular outline and a stepped profile: brushed finishing on the bezel and lug tops contrasts with polished case sides, while the crown interrupts one of the steps. These are the reviewer’s observations of the watch’s design and finish.

Both regular models are listed with a sapphire crystal, screw-down steel caseback and 30 m water resistance. That is a modest rating, not a swimming-watch claim; the Mecaline is better understood as a dress-oriented timepiece.
What movement does it use?
The reviewed standard Angles Mecaline uses a hand-wound ETA (Peseux) 7001 movement with 17 jewels, running at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering a stated 42-hour power reserve. It drives hours, minutes and small seconds.

Hand-wound means the owner turns the crown to wind the movement; it does not rely on a battery or an automatic rotor. The cited specifications do not establish an accuracy figure, service interval or shock-resistance rating.
How does the Angles Mecaline wear?
Weppelink said the 6 mm profile felt especially pleasing and that the watch sat comfortably on his 18.5 cm wrist. He also wore it with outfits ranging from casual to somewhat formal. Those are one reviewer’s impressions, not a fit guarantee: wrist shape, preferred fit and styling are personal, and the 37 mm diameter alone does not predict how the case will feel.

The slim case and low-key dial give the Mecaline a different sort of presence from a thicker, more overtly sporty watch. Fratello acknowledges visual comparisons with Bvlgari’s Octo but says the underlying shapes differ. A useful comparison is therefore not just about angularity: consider the case geometry and wrist presence, thickness, dial legibility, hand-wound movement, 30 m water resistance and price. Fratello also names the Echo/Neutra Rivanera, Anoma A1 and Serica 1174 Parade as watches that may interest a similar reader, but its review does not provide comparable specifications or current prices for them.
What straps come with the standard models?
The review describes the black model on black Epsom leather with gray stitching and the warm-gray model on burgundy Epsom leather with white stitching. Both are reported with a stainless-steel pin buckle. For a replacement 19 mm leather watch strap, confirm both the lug width and the strap’s buckle-end width before buying; no specific aftermarket strap has been verified as compatible.

How much does it cost, and what is available?
Fratello listed the regular Angles Mecaline at US$1,456 in its October 2025 review. Beda’a’s official Angles Mecaline product page displayed the regular black and warm-gray models at 5,300 QAR and marked both out of stock when accessed on October 8, 2026; prices and inventory can change.

Diamond Edition
The Diamond Edition is a separate, later variant—not the standard black or warm-gray watch reviewed in 2025. Fratello’s February 16, 2026 report describes 1.1 carats of diamonds set on the bezel and lugs, alongside a hand-wound ETA 7001 and 30 m water resistance. It reports a price of QAR 19,500, approximately US$5,353 before taxes, and says only a few pieces would be made per quarter. The official page also showed the black and warm-gray Diamond Editions at 19,500 QAR, both out of stock in its October 8, 2026 display.

A separate Beda’a Boutique Edition was covered by Hodinkee Australia on September 18, 2026, in connection with the brand’s boutique at the Mandarin Oriental in Doha. Its Angles Mecaline version is described with a vertically brushed silver dial, hand-wound ETA 7001 and small seconds at six. The coverage also describes a quartz Angles 37 counterpart. These are distinct boutique-related versions; their dial details should not be attributed to the standard black and warm-gray Mecaline models.
