What is the Hermès Cut watch?
Hermès unveiled the Cut at Watches and Wonders Geneva in April 2024. In its 2024 Universal Registration Document, Hermès International described the original collection as a unisex 36 mm design in steel or steel and rose gold. The brand’s official product page says the watch was created in 2024.

The Cut’s name reflects its case: a circular form interrupted by sharply shaped, beveled sides. Hermès describes the design as “a circle within a round shape.” The crown sits at 1:30, rather than at the more conventional 3 o’clock position.

The collection’s design combines a beveled bezel with polished and satin-brushed surfaces. Hermès’ collection description also notes a curved-edge dial, luminescent applied Arabic numerals and partly openworked, baton-shaped hands. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions of the design.

H1912 automatic movement
Hermès identifies the H1912 as a mechanical self-winding manufacture movement. For reference W403236WW00, the Hermès UK listing gives an approximately 50-hour power reserve and hours, minutes and seconds display. Those figures apply to that cited reference; check the individual listing for another Cut before assuming its specifications are identical.
Materials, bracelets and straps
The collection includes all-steel and steel-and-rose-gold models, with some versions featuring a bezel set with 56 diamonds. Hermès describes the metal bracelet as having rounded links and alternating finishes.

At access on 8 October 2026, Hermès UK listed reference W403236WW00 at £8,710. This is a regional price for that reference and may change. Separately, Hodinkee reported a US launch starting price of $6,725 in April 2024; that is historical launch pricing, not a current US quote or a worldwide starting price.
Hermès’ 2024 Universal Registration Document says watch distribution is mainly handled through Hermès stores, with external multibrand retail limited to a select number of retailers. For current availability, check Hermès or an authorized retailer; the report does not confirm stock at any particular shop.
Award recognition
Hermès International’s annual report says the Cut was a finalist in the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève’s “Women’s Watch 2024” category. It was a finalist, not the category winner. That recognition sits alongside Hermès’ description of the collection as unisex.
