Hermès expanded the H08 in 2023 with two distinct additions: four 39 mm three-hand watches in vivid colours, built around a fibreglass-based composite case, and a 41 mm monopusher chronograph previewed for 2024. They share the H08 design language, but not the same case materials or complication.
What changed in the H08 collection in 2023?
Time+Tide reported five new H08 references for Watches & Wonders 2023: four three-hand models with orange, yellow, blue or green accents, plus a monopusher chronograph. Hermès’ 2023 annual report also describes the four-watch colour family and the new in-house monopusher chronograph, confirming that these were two related but technically different extensions of the collection.
The four colourful models were described as 39 mm watches. The chronograph was presented as a 41 mm watch and previewed for 2024 in the 13 April 2023 launch coverage. That date is the launch-era expectation; Hermès’ current US listing now gives a specific H08 Chronographe reference, W403130WW00.
How do the four colour models differ from the chronograph?
The central distinction is the case construction. The three-hand colour models use a fibreglass-based composite combining aluminium and slate, while the chronograph uses a carbon-fibre composite with graphene. What are the H08 Chronographe’s listed specifications?
Hermès USA’s listing for reference W403130WW00 identifies the movement as the H1837, a mechanical self-winding monopusher chronograph. The page lists a 46-hour power reserve, 10-bar water resistance, a date at 4:30 and an orange rubber strap, alongside its 41 mm case width and 45 mm lug-to-lug measurement. These are specifications for the current listed reference, not specifications that should be retroactively assigned to every detail of the 2023 preview.

What the launch coverage does—and does not—establish
The 2023 report priced the three-hand colour model at US$6,800 and said the chronograph price had not yet been announced. Those are launch-era statements, not a current price comparison. The current US chronograph listing provides a concrete reference and listed price, but it does not show that the watch is in stock everywhere or establish current pricing for the four colour models.
Hermès’ 2023 annual report independently records the H08 extension, including the colour family and a monopusher chronograph movement. It describes the chronograph’s carbon-fibre case with added graphene; the more specific “coated with graphene powder” wording and the detailed movement specifications come from the current US product listing.
