For 2023, Hermès added four color interpretations to the H08: yellow, green, blue, and orange. Each brings its accent to the rubber strap, glass seal, minutes track, and seconds hand, set against the H08’s layered, patterned composite case.
What changed on the H08 in 2023?
Watches and Wonders described the update as “four new interpretations in luminous shades of yellow, green, blue and orange.” The color is concentrated in details rather than spread across the dial: a colored rubber strap, a matching seal around the crystal, the minutes track, and the seconds hand. CNA’s contemporaneous report specifies that the seconds hand is varnished and describes the strap as having a woven effect.
The result is a bright accent against the case’s quieter texture. The exhibition describes the case as a composite block layered with aluminised fibreglass and slate powder. Those layers create subtle silver reflections on the case middle and patterns that vary from watch to watch.
How the colors work with the case
The H08’s case material is part of the visual contrast, not just a backdrop for the strap. Its composite construction gives the middle a reflective, irregular appearance, while the colored details provide more direct points of contrast. Because the case pattern is unique to each piece, two watches in the same color interpretation need not have identical-looking case surfaces.
#1 Best Overall
The 2023 color announcement concerned the standard H08 interpretations. It should not be confused with the H08 Chronograph, a separate 2023 debut reported by CNA. The chronograph’s complication and case changes belong to that distinct model, not to the four-color update.

Hermès France’s current collection information shows that the wider H08 range is not limited to the four 2023 color interpretations: it describes two titanium versions with grained light-colored dials, rubber straps in orange, abyss blue, or black, and woven straps in blue or black. These are regional, current assortment details and can change; they do not establish the full 2023 lineup.

Hermès’ 2023 reporting says Geneva revealed an extension of the H08 line and describes the collection as successful since its 2021 launch, but the cited passage gives no H08-specific sales figure. The color update is therefore best understood as a design expansion, not evidence of a quantified change in demand.
