The iMac price was described as applying to selected configurations, so it should not be read as a price for every model. For the AirTag four-pack, the roundup reported Best Buy availability and anticipated an Amazon price match; that match was not guaranteed.
Apple Watch Series 9 at $379: a value buy only at the right price
The reported $379 offer was for the 45mm aluminum GPS + Cellular model, compared with a $529 list price. Apple’s Series 9 specifications list the S9 SiP, fast charging, 50-meter water resistance, and 41mm and 45mm case sizes. Series 9 was a previous-generation watch by the time of this roundup, positioned as a less expensive alternative to the newly arriving Series 10.

GPS and GPS + Cellular are not the same purchase
A GPS + Cellular watch can connect to a supported carrier plan when set up and activated; buying the cellular-capable hardware does not provide free service or automatically activate it. Check carrier compatibility and recurring plan cost before treating cellular as a useful extra. If you expect to keep your iPhone nearby, a GPS-only model may be the more economical choice.
Choose the size for fit, not just the discount
The 45mm case offers a larger display and may be easier to read, but it is not automatically the better fit for every wrist. The 41mm option is smaller. Try the size if possible, and compare the precise configuration: a discounted 45mm cellular listing is not directly comparable with a smaller GPS-only watch.
When older stock makes sense
A Series 9 is worth considering when it is substantially cheaper than a comparable newer watch and the seller clearly identifies the unit as new or refurbished. Before buying older stock, confirm who sells it, warranty coverage, return terms, and—if refurbished—battery condition. If a newer model costs only a little more, its longer remaining retail life or features you specifically want may justify the difference.

The $2,214 iPad Pro discount was large, but the configuration was specialized
The reported offer was for the 13-inch iPad Pro with M4, 2TB storage, Wi‑Fi + Cellular, nano-texture glass, and a Space Black finish: $2,214 against a $2,599 list price, a stated $385 reduction. The accurate product name is iPad Pro with M4; “M4 Pro” would incorrectly suggest a processor called M4 Pro. Apple’s technical specifications describe the 2024 M4 iPad Pro.

The premium configuration is most defensible for someone with a clear need for substantial local storage, cellular connectivity, and the nano-texture display option—for example, a professional workflow involving large media or design files and frequent work away from Wi‑Fi. The 2TB capacity is not a general-purpose upgrade most buyers need, and cellular is an added expense if Wi‑Fi is sufficient. Nano-texture glass is a premium choice for people who value reduced reflections, not a requirement for ordinary tablet use.
Compare the whole configuration, not just the $385 saving
Apple offered M4 iPad Pro storage options from 256GB through 2TB, while nano-texture glass was available on 1TB and 2TB configurations, according to its specifications. A lower-capacity Wi‑Fi model can cost far less and may be a better value than this 2TB cellular version, even if its headline discount is smaller. Also compare a current-generation iPad Pro and the less expensive iPad Air if you do not need the Pro display or performance tier. Apple’s current iPad Pro page is a better reference for the present lineup than a 2024 clearance price.

The M4 iPad Pro included a 20W USB‑C power adapter and USB‑C cable, according to Apple’s specifications. It can also use compatible higher-wattage USB‑C adapters; Apple explains iPad USB‑C charging compatibility.
Belkin magnetic charging offers: distinguish MagSafe from Qi2
The roundup’s charging products were not all Apple-branded MagSafe chargers. It reported a Belkin BoostCharge Pro 15W MagSafe car charger mount for $75, described as 25% off, and a Belkin BoostCharge Pro 15W Qi2 3-in-1 pad for $103.99 against a $130 regular price. The latter is a Qi2 magnetic charger, not simply another name for an Apple MagSafe charger.

Apple’s 35W adapter at $39.99: useful for two modest loads
The reported $39.99 price compared with Apple’s $59 price for the 35W Dual USB‑C Port Compact Power Adapter. It is a two-port power brick, not a cable kit: you need suitable USB‑C charging cables for your devices.
Apple says the adapter has 35W maximum total output and automatically distributes power when both ports are occupied. In Apple’s examples, a Mac laptop and iPhone or iPad can each receive up to 17.5W; a Mac laptop or iPhone paired with Apple Watch or AirPods can receive up to 27.5W and 7.5W, respectively. Those are example allocations, not a promise that every device charges at the same rate. If a device needs more power, Apple advises disconnecting the second cable. This compact adapter suits travelers or people charging two lower-power devices who already own cables. It is a poor fit if you expect fast charging for a power-hungry MacBook Pro or routinely charge two demanding devices at once; compare the required wattage and safety certification of higher-output alternatives. For supported Apple Watch models, fast charging also requires a compatible charger and an 18W-or-higher USB‑C power adapter, as described in Apple’s Apple Watch charging guidance.

AirTags and the M3 iMac: smaller discounts with clearer use cases
AirTag: the four-pack was cheaper per tracker
At the reported prices, one AirTag cost $24.99 and the four-pack $74.99. The four-pack works out to about $18.75 per tracker, compared with $24.99 for one, making it the better per-unit value if you will use all four. AirTags suit keys, bags, and luggage that move away from you; they are not general-purpose GPS trackers and rely on Apple’s Find My network. M3 iMac: check the configuration behind the starting price
The roundup reported selected 24-inch M3 iMac configurations from $1,099.99, against a $1,299 comparison price, or $199 off. “From” matters: verify the exact memory, storage, and other configuration details before comparing it with another iMac or a current model. A discount on a base configuration is not a like-for-like comparison with a better-equipped machine.
Other items in the roundup
The September 3 coverage also mentioned an Anker 100W 9-in-1 power station and other chargers, cables, storage products, smart-home accessories, and Apple-related peripherals. It included a Twelve South ButterFly SE travel charger announcement/pre-order as well. An announcement or pre-order is not an existing price reduction, and the roundup’s summary does not provide enough detail to compare every other accessory on price or value.
How to judge a similar Apple deal now
- Match the model precisely. Confirm generation, screen size, storage, cellular status, finish, and included accessories; otherwise, the comparison price may describe a different product.
- Check seller and condition. Confirm whether the item is new, refurbished, or open-box, who sells it, warranty coverage, and the return policy—especially for discontinued or older Apple stock.
- Read the checkout terms. Look for clipped coupons, membership requirements, shipping charges, and any price that appears only at checkout.
- Compare against current alternatives. A large discount from an old list price can still leave a poor value if a newer generation, lower-storage model, or iPad Air better fits your needs. Apple’s current Watch buying page can help establish the present lineup.
- For chargers, verify the standard and power. Distinguish MagSafe from Qi2, confirm device compatibility and adapter inclusion, and ensure total wattage suits the devices you will charge.
Product cycles also change the value of leftover stock. MacRumors’ Buyer’s Guide tracks product generations; its current guide identifies newer iPad Pro models than the 2024 M4 generation. That context does not make an older model a bad buy, but it makes the exact price, condition, warranty, and feature gap more important.
