Its headline features are a Grade 5 titanium case, sapphire glass, a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, Quick Health Scan, a free-diving mode rated to 40 meters and a 480mAh battery HONOR says can last up to 15 days under its test conditions. It is a real, established product—not a new 2026 unveiling—but availability and pricing depend on the market.
What HONOR announced at MWC 2025
HONOR introduced the Watch 5 Ultra during MWC 2025 in Barcelona on March 2, alongside its Alpha Plan corporate strategy. The announcement described a premium smartwatch; it did not mean that the watch would be sold in every country at once. HONOR’s launch announcement gives the date and headline specifications.
As of August 2026, HONOR still maintains global product and specification pages for the Watch 5 Ultra, while its global wearable navigation also features the newer Watch 6. The 5 Ultra is therefore best understood as a prior-generation HONOR watch, not the company’s newest model.
Design: titanium, sapphire and two strap styles
HONOR describes the case as Grade 5 titanium in its launch material and as aerospace-grade 5 titanium alloy on the product page. The watch has a domed, octagonal design, sapphire-glass protection and black and brown variants. HONOR lists a fluoroelastomer strap with the black model and a leather strap with the brown model.

Titanium offers a premium, corrosion-resistant case material that can weigh less than many steel alternatives. Sapphire is highly scratch-resistant, but it is not unbreakable; neither material by itself establishes impact-proof or military-grade performance. For frequent swimming, diving or heavy sweating, the fluoroelastomer strap is the more practical of the two listed options. Check the regional package before buying, since strap configurations can vary.
HONOR also promotes SGS durability certification. That is a manufacturer-stated certification claim, not a guarantee that the watch cannot be damaged.
Display: a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED panel
The confirmed headline display specification is a 1.5-inch AMOLED panel with LTPO technology, always-on display support and a refresh rate of up to 60Hz, according to HONOR’s launch release.

LTPO can vary refresh behavior to reduce power use when the display is showing mostly static content, such as a watch face. It does not mean the panel runs at 60Hz all the time, nor does it guarantee a particular battery life: brightness, the chosen face, always-on use, notifications, GPS and health tracking all affect consumption. A secondary launch report lists 310 PPI, but that figure is not exposed in the accessible global HONOR specification text; treat it as a reported specification rather than a confirmed global figure.

Quick Health Scan is designed to gather selected wellness metrics into a short overview. HONOR describes it as covering heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), stress and sleep-related information. The product page also promotes all-day tracking and a Healthy Morning Report that summarizes previous health data.
HONOR explicitly says the watch is not a medical device and that measurements are for health management and reference. Readings can be affected by fit, movement, skin contact, temperature, activity and other conditions. Do not use an alert or an unusual reading by itself to make a medical decision; it is not a substitute for a clinician, medical assessment or dedicated pulse oximeter. HONOR says SpO₂ functionality is unavailable in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, so check the local product information for feature availability.

Free-diving features and water-use limits
HONOR advertises a 40-meter free-diving mode with depth, speed, water temperature, maximum depth, underwater duration and direction metrics, as well as apnea-training and test modes. Its product page says the watch complies with the EN13319 standard for diving accessories.
The 40-meter claim is specifically presented as a free-diving feature. It should not be read as proof that the watch can replace a professional dive computer for scuba, decompression planning or technical diving. Before taking it underwater, check the regional instructions, water-use limits and strap suitability; a leather strap is not the sensible choice for repeated water exposure.

Battery and charging: interpret the 15-day claim carefully
The rated battery capacity is 480mAh. HONOR claims up to 15 days of use under its stated typical-use laboratory conditions, and says a 10-minute charge can provide a day of use. The watch charges on a wireless fast-charging dock. These are manufacturer claims, not guaranteed results for every wearer.

HONOR’s battery notes describe a test scenario involving an HONOR phone and use such as continuous heart-rate measurement in Smart mode, sleep tracking, Bluetooth calls, music playback, GPS exercise, notifications, alarms and repeated screen activation. Actual runtime depends on settings and use; frequent GPS sessions, calls, music, high brightness, always-on display or intensive health monitoring can shorten it. The quick-charge result likewise depends on conditions including battery level, temperature and the charger and dock used.

HONOR’s global product page says some features are available only when the watch is paired with an HONOR phone running MagicOS 9.0 or later. That means basic pairing and notifications should not be confused with full feature parity across HONOR phones, other Android devices and iPhones. Check the local product page for the functions supported by your phone before purchase.
A Gizmochina launch report lists MagicOS 7.2, Android 9.0 or later and iOS 13.0 or later compatibility, along with 8GB storage, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, more than 100 sports modes, 46.3mm × 11.4mm dimensions and 51.8g weight without the strap. These details come from secondary coverage; the accessible global HONOR specification page displays headings for several specification categories without exposing all their values. Confirm such details against the regional HONOR sheet for the exact model being sold.
