Tudor’s blue Black Bay Chrono is a more composed take on the model’s sporty chronograph formula: a “TUDOR Blue” dial and matching tachymeter bezel bring color, while silver counters keep the face legible and balanced. Introduced in 2024, reference M79360B-0002 is a 41 mm steel chronograph sold through select Tudor boutiques.
What is the blue Tudor Black Bay Chrono?
It is the 41 mm stainless-steel Black Bay Chrono with reference number M79360B-0002. Fratello reported its introduction on August 28, 2024; Tudor describes the model as a Boutique Edition. The blue version is distinguished by its dial and bezel rather than a change to the core chronograph format.

Tudor’s official model page calls the dial “TUDOR Blue” and describes the watch as a boutique-exclusive addition to the Black Bay Chrono line.
What is different about the dial and bezel?
The domed blue dial has silver subdials and a date window at 6 o’clock. Around it is a fixed stainless-steel bezel fitted with a blue anodised aluminium tachymeter insert and silver markings. The dial and bezel share a color, but the silver counters break up the blue rather than letting the face read as one uninterrupted field.
#1 Best Overall
Hot take: This is a strong colorway because it makes the Black Bay Chrono feel distinct without leaning on a high-contrast or novelty palette. The matching dial and bezel are the main event; the silver counters give the design enough visual structure. That is a judgment about the combination, not a claim that blue makes the watch objectively more versatile.

What do the chronograph and tachymeter do?
The chronograph measures elapsed time, with this model using a 45-minute counter. The tachymeter scale on the bezel can be used with the chronograph to calculate speed or flow rate, as Tudor explains on the model page. It is a timing tool, not a separate powered function.
The MT5813 is COSC-certified and has an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Fratello describes the calibre as based on Breitling’s B01 and notes its silicon escapement; Tudor’s product page identifies it as its Manufacture Calibre MT5813.

How might it wear?
The 41 mm diameter gives the watch a substantial sports-chronograph presence, and its 14.4 mm thickness is worth considering if you prefer a watch that slips easily under a close-fitting cuff. Fratello’s reported 49.8 mm lug-to-lug is a useful additional dimension for assessing how the case may span a wrist, though wrist shape and personal fit vary. The 22 mm lug width and five-link bracelet complete a broad, steel-bracelet look.
The 200 m water-resistance rating is a robust specification for a chronograph, but it does not by itself establish suitability for every activity or replace proper care of the watch and its seals. Check Tudor’s current guidance for use and maintenance.

How much does it cost, and where is it sold?
Prices depend on region and date. Fratello reported a launch price of €5,720 on the steel bracelet in its August 28, 2024 article. Tudor’s Brazilian localized product page displayed a suggested retail price of R$ 47.250 when accessed on October 7, 2026. Those figures are snapshots from different markets and dates, not equivalent prices or a global current price; Tudor says displayed prices and models may change.
Tudor currently describes the blue reference as exclusive to select boutiques and provides a boutique locator through its product page. Check with a local boutique for current availability and pricing.

Is the blue Black Bay Chrono the right version?
Choose it if the appeal is the blue-on-blue design, silver counters and steel bracelet, and you want the Black Bay Chrono’s chronograph functions in a colorway that stands apart from more conventional dial treatments. Before deciding, consider whether the 41 mm case, 14.4 mm thickness and 49.8 mm reported lug-to-lug suit your wrist and usual clothing.
My take: the restrained contrast is the point. Tudor has not made the chronograph quieter in function or specification; it has given a familiar steel sports-watch format a more distinctive face. If you are buying for the color, see it in person if possible—the impression depends on how the blue dial, blue bezel and silver counters meet in the light.
