The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Cotton Candy pairs pastel colour with a bronze case, bezel and bracelet. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual (OP) is a family of watches with different dial colours and layouts depending on the size and reference. For a specific pink-to-pink comparison, the Oris pink Cotton Candy can be set against the candy pink Oyster Perpetual 36, reference 126000.

What does “Rolex OP dial” mean?

There is no single Oyster Perpetual dial. Rolex’s current collection spans 28, 31, 34, 36 and 41 mm sizes, with colours, motifs and dial treatments that vary across models. Its current range includes candy pink. A precise comparison should name the OP size and reference; otherwise, the discussion is about the collection rather than one dial. Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual collection lists the current range.

How the dial colours and surrounding cases differ

Oris offers the Cotton Candy with, among other examples documented on its official product pages, blue and pink dials. The colour sits within a warm-toned frame: the collection’s case, bezel, crown and bracelet are bronze. That combination gives the watch a diver-style look in which the surrounding metal is a visible part of the design, not just a neutral border around the dial. Oris’s blue Cotton Candy and pink Cotton Candy illustrate the colour options.

The candy pink Oyster Perpetual 36, reference 126000, puts a pink dial in an Oystersteel case. It is a cleaner, cooler-metal setting than the bronze Oris. This is a comparison of two specific pink examples, not a claim that every OP has the same colour or layout. Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual 36 reference 126000 identifies its dial as candy pink.

These references differ in size as well as case material and watch style. The Oris models are diver-style watches; the pink OP cited here is a 36 mm Oyster Perpetual. The specifications establish the materials and named colours, but do not establish how either dial appears under particular lighting or how easy it is to read in use.

What is documented about dial finishing?

Rolex says Oyster Perpetual colours begin with lacquer applied in a controlled-atmosphere environment. Its account describes a brass dial base, six coats of lacquer, then varnishing and polishing. Rolex’s wording is: “The brass plate of the dial base receives layer upon layer of lacquer, six in all, to form a regular, uniform surface.” Rolex’s dial-making description documents its process; the Oris product pages cited here do not provide a directly comparable account of dial production. That gap does not show that one brand’s method is better or worse.

How to choose between them by dial design

  • Start with the actual colour. Cotton Candy is not one colour: the cited Oris references are blue and pink, while the specific OP example here is candy pink.
  • Consider the frame around the dial. Bronze makes the Oris’s pastel colour part of a warmer overall palette; Oystersteel gives the pink OP a cooler, more restrained surround.
  • Compare layout only on named references. The OP family varies by size and dial configuration, so do not assume the candy pink 36 represents every Oyster Perpetual.
  • Include size and watch style. The cited Oris is 38 mm and diver-style; the pink OP reference is 36 mm. A dial-only comparison misses how those choices affect the whole watch’s appearance.
  • Separate documented process from subjective judgment. Rolex publishes a six-layer lacquer description, but the available product information does not support a comparative conclusion about dial quality, legibility or colour preference.

Specifications and the cited U.S. Rolex price were checked against official brand pages on October 7, 2026. Configurations, availability and prices can change; check the named reference and the relevant regional page when making a purchase decision. The Oris pages also list 19 mm textile and rubber strap alternatives, but strap choice does not change the dial; confirm reference and fit before selecting a replacement strap.
