How slim is the MTG-B3000?
Casio lists the MTG-B3000-1A at 51.9 × 50.9 × 12.1 mm and 111 g. The 12.1 mm measurement is the case thickness; the other dimensions show that this is still a broad, substantial case despite its comparatively low profile. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.
Casio’s March 15, 2022 launch announcement says the MTG-B3000 case is more than 2 mm slimmer than the MTG-B1000. That is Casio’s comparison with its named predecessor, not a third-party measurement or a claim that every MTG-B3000 configuration has identical dimensions.
What makes the case thinner?
The MTG-B3000 uses Casio’s Dual Core Guard structure. A carbon-reinforced resin case protects the module, while metal components form the exterior. Casio says it reduced the module’s thickness through high-density mounting and smaller components, allowing the watch to retain its shock-resistant construction in a slimmer case.

The shaped stainless-steel case back also rises to form the band lugs and guards around the crown and buttons. In practical terms, this is not a conventional metal shell simply made thinner: the carbon-reinforced resin structure and shaped exterior metal parts work together in the design Casio describes.

The BD variants’ approximately 148 g figure comes from Casio’s 2022 announcement. Do not assume the resin-band model’s 111 g weight applies to a metal-band version. The cited BDE page lists a replacement band as an accessory, but does not establish that every band fits every reference.
Casio says its band can be exchanged using buttons at the lugs without special tools. Check compatibility for the exact watch and replacement band; the cited information does not establish third-party band fit or current availability.

What functions and protections does Casio specify?
For the MTG-B3000-1A, Casio lists Tough Solar charging, Multi Band 6 radio time calibration, Bluetooth Smartphone Link, Triple G Resist, and 20-bar water resistance. The product page also lists dual time, a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and LED illumination. These are manufacturer specifications; the cited material does not provide independent performance tests.
Casio describes Bluetooth connection with the CASIO WATCHES app for smartphone time adjustment. Multi Band 6 is the watch’s radio time-calibration feature; actual radio reception depends on the relevant broadcast service and location. The cited product material does not establish reception in every region.
