The Krayon Anywhere is a hand-wound mechanical watch that shows sunrise and sunset for a place chosen by its owner. Instead of selecting a city from a world-time list, the owner asks a Krayon watchmaker to set the movement for that location. A moving sun and two day-and-night sectors then trace its solar cycle around the dial.
How does the Krayon Anywhere watch work?
The central hands show hours and minutes in the usual way. Around them, a sun moves across a 24-hour peripheral display. Two blue sapphire sectors represent day and night; their changing positions and lengths show where sunrise and sunset fall against the fixed indicator ring. The display is therefore a personal solar-cycle indication, not a second time-zone readout. Krayon describes the arrangement on its Anywhere product page and in its May 2020 technical explanation.
Latitude affects the duration of daylight, so the indication must be configured for the chosen place. Krayon says the mechanism uses racks and yokes to position the display. A Krayon watchmaker makes the adjustment at the customer’s request; the watch does not detect the wearer’s position or update its setting automatically.
Can you set the Krayon Anywhere to any location?
Krayon describes the setting as a location selected by the owner and adjusted by a watchmaker. That makes it more flexible than a display restricted to a preset city list, but it is not a live location service: changing where the watch is set requires a mechanical adjustment by Krayon’s watchmaker. The company’s technical explanation identifies latitude as a factor in the display. The sources do not specify geographic limits or the procedure for arranging a change, so confirm feasibility and service details with Krayon for a particular location.

The comparison describes the distinction Krayon makes between a personal ephemeris and a world-time function; it is not a ranking of competing watches.
What calendar does it have?
The date and month appear on a counter at six o’clock. The calendar treats every month as 31 days, so it is not a perpetual calendar and needs five corrections a year. Krayon says the wearer can make those corrections with the crown in either direction. This keeps the calendar arrangement simple, at the cost of manual month-end adjustment.

The reserve figures differ: Krayon’s current product page lists 72 hours, while its 2022 Geneva Watch Days material lists 86. For a particular reference, ask Krayon to confirm the applicable figure. The current page’s 9.5 mm case thickness is also the more precise figure to use; the May 2020 release described the watch as “just 9 mm.”
Which Krayon Anywhere versions are documented?
Krayon’s product page lists two gold C030-series versions and a Lady Anywhere. These listings identify documented variants, not guaranteed current stock.

The Only Watch 2021 Anywhere was a unique auction piece, not a regular production reference. Krayon’s July 2021 release describes it as using the first C030-series prototype, with a one-off hand-painted dial inspired by Claude Monet’s Impression, Rising Sun and a stainless-steel case. It is historical auction context, not evidence of a current offer.

What recognition has the Anywhere received?
Krayon reports that Anywhere won the 2022 GPHG Calendar and Astronomy prize on its award page. The 2018 Innovation Prize mentioned in Krayon’s product materials was awarded to the related Everywhere watch, not the Anywhere.
