The KUDOKE 3 is a time-only watch with an unconventional display: one hand shows minutes, while a three-arm hand indicates hours across three sections of the dial. The 2023 original and the 2026 KUDOKE 3 Nocturne use the same basic display and Kaliber 1 movement; Nocturne’s changes are chiefly in color, surface treatment and engraving.
How does the KUDOKE 3 tell time?
Read the large minute hand against the upper minute ring, then read the three-arm hand against the lower hour scale. Each arm has a different length and corresponds to one section of that scale. As an arm reaches the end of its section, another appears at the start of the next. During the transition, hours 2, 6 and 10 are shown twice on different scales.
The display looks more elaborate than a conventional pair of hands, but it still shows only hours and minutes. It is not a chronograph or an additional complication. The infinity motif appears in the minute hand and at the 60-minute position.
What inspired the original KUDOKE 3?
KUDOKE introduced the KUDOKE 3 in 2023 as the next HANDwerk model after the KUDOKE 1 and 2. The brand says its unusual hour display takes inspiration from antique English pocket watches, reinterpreted in the HANDwerk style. Its two-level dial pairs a frosted surface and upper minute ring with a lower hour plate. KUDOKE’s 2023 launch announcement describes the inspiration and construction.

What is new about the KUDOKE 3 Nocturne?
KUDOKE announced the Nocturne in February 2026 as a limited edition of 20 pieces. It retains the core KUDOKE 3 display and Kaliber 1. The changes are visual and decorative rather than a new timekeeping function or mechanical upgrade.

|---|---|---|
| Dial treatment | Frosted surface, upper minute ring and lower hour plate; launch descriptions do not state a dark galvanic treatment. | Dark galvanic upper dial; dial elements treated with black gold. |
| Case finish | Polished stainless steel. | Matte sandblasted stainless steel. |
| Hands | Large blued-steel minute hand. | Polished steel hands. |
| Bridge engraving | Optional fully relief-engraved bridge listed at launch. | Flakes hand engraving, which removes small flakes of material to create texture. |

KUDOKE says Flakes engraving can be requested for HANDwerk models and complements its established floral bridge engraving. Nocturne brings that finishing together with its darker dial and matte case in a limited edition. The announcement does not establish how many pieces, if any, remain available. See KUDOKE’s Nocturne announcement for the release details.

How much does a KUDOKE 3 cost?
The dated prices in the available manufacturer listings are not current universal quotes: KUDOKE listed the original at EUR 9,350 excluding VAT in 2023 and Nocturne at EUR 12,574 excluding VAT in its February 2026 announcement. A separate KUDOKE 2024 press release gives EUR 9,350 plus VAT in the context of the salmon variant that year. These figures refer to different dates and release contexts; confirm the current price, applicable taxes and availability directly with KUDOKE or an authorized retailer.
KUDOKE identifies the KUDOKE 3 salmon as the 2024 GPHG Petite Aiguille winner. The award belongs to that variant and year, not automatically to every KUDOKE 3. The brand says watches can be purchased directly or through authorized retailers; see its official site for current contact and retailer information.

- This is a precision panoramic large aperture moon phase automatic mechanical watch crafted from blue aventurine, the material that most closely resembles the starry night sky, designed by Swiss chief designer Etienne Ruffieux, inspired by the sun, moon, and stars. The intricately carved luminous moon changes once daily, fully showcasing the entire cycle of nature's waxing and waning phases. This watch has been awarded the European Design Award for its outstanding original design.
- In-house CAL.A4610 fully automatic mechanical movement, bidirectional automatic winding system, 28,880 vibrations per hour, 27 ruby bearings. Exquisite perlage and geneva stripes finishing, edge chamfering process, white gold plating, and engraved gold-plated brand logo. Delivers an extended 80-hour power reserve (twice that of standard mechanical movements). This technology enables a more even and gradual release of the mainspring, resulting in more precise and stable timekeeping.
- The moon phase disc in Agelocer's in-house CAL.A4610 automatic mechanical movement features a precision 31-tooth structure. It advances one segment every 22.846 hours, completing a full cycle every 29.51 days to achieve a 708.23-hour lunar cycle. (Conventional moon phase discs use a 59-tooth gear, advancing one notch every 24 hours to complete a full cycle in 29.5 days, resulting in a 708-hour lunar cycle.)
- The astronomical lunar cycle is 29.53 days (708.72 hours), meaning conventional moon phases accumulate a one-day error every 2.7 years. The Agelocer moon phase watch accumulates one day of error every 4.1 years, offering greater precision than traditional 59-tooth moon phase mechanisms.
- The dial is made of natural blue aventurine from Brazil. Its deep blue or violet-blue color from scaly vivianite contained within quartz crystals during geological formation. It shimmers with a beautiful, soft glow, like sky full of stars, make it most star-like natural dial material available today. In this panoramic large moon phase watch, as the dynamic moon perfectly glides across the starry surface of the blue aventurine dial, it feels as if the cosmic starry sky is right before your eyes.
