Its rotating bezel provides scales for turning a timed count into a per-minute estimate; the watch does not use sensors, and the available sources do not establish clinical validation.
How does the Medeor Pulsograph work?
The Pulsograph combines a conventional seconds hand with a manually operated, bidirectional bezel marked for pulse and respiratory rate. To use it, the wearer aligns the relevant bezel marker with the seconds hand, counts a set number of beats or breaths as the hand moves, then reads the corresponding rate on the scale.
Estimating a pulse
- Find the person’s pulse and align the bezel’s pulse marker with the seconds hand.
- Count 15 heartbeats while watching the seconds hand.
- Read the per-minute pulse estimate indicated by the hand on the pulse scale.
Estimating breathing rate
- Align the asthmometer marker with the seconds hand.
- Count four breaths as the hand moves.
- Read the corresponding per-minute estimate on the respiratory scale.
This is a timing aid that depends on the wearer starting at the marker, observing and counting correctly, and reading the scale. It is not sensor-based monitoring, and the sources reviewed do not provide a clinical accuracy study for the Pulsograph.
What makes it a doctor’s watch?
A pulsometer watch is designed to help time a pulse count and translate it into a rate. Medeor’s version adds an asthmometer scale for counting breaths, putting two manual measurement aids on the rotating bezel. The intended use is to observe another person’s pulse or breathing, rather than electronically monitor the watch wearer.

Medeor says founder Vincent Heyraud, a doctor of pharmacy and former rescue swimmer and rescuer, conceived the watch to modernize the traditional doctor’s watch for health professionals and rescuers. The company describes more than three years of development and an effort to balance function, everyday wear and styling. Those are the brand’s statements about its design aims, not evidence of medical performance.

The sources use different movement designations: Medeor’s current product page says G100-family, while Monochrome’s launch article specifies G101. The latter calls it the no-date version of the G100; the figures should therefore be read in the context of each source rather than collapsed into one unqualified configuration.
Availability, prices and ownership now
Medeor’s official brand and partners pages state that the company closed on 30 January 2026. That makes the original preorder terms historical, not a current offer. Monochrome’s November 2023 launch article listed a EUR 795 preorder price through 18 December 2023, EUR 995 through 14 January in the next price period, and a planned final retail price of EUR 1,130. The launch coverage also described delivery as expected in 2024.

Current stock, post-closure warranty or service arrangements, and resale prices have not been established by the sources cited here. A buyer considering a pre-owned example should confirm the watch’s condition, service history, completeness and seller-provided return terms rather than assuming the original brand support remains available.

Medeor specifies a 20 mm lug width. Monochrome’s launch coverage says the watch originally came with a steel bracelet and an elastic/Velcro strap. A replacement 20 mm strap may be an option, but lug width alone does not confirm attachment compatibility; check the specific watch and strap before ordering.
